The Young and the Restless spoilers for Oct 5-9, 2026 thrill with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) engaging in a vicious attack and we’ll also see Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) squirming when things get uncomfortable with her daughter Claire Newman (Hayley Erin).
Also, in the week of October fifth through the ninth, we’ve got Marie Kirkland (Jade Harlow) in critical condition after another overdose, and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) digging in her heels. And as we always do on early edition day, we go over what’s happening the rest of this week, and then we get into what’s coming next week. Let’s get right to it!
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam’s Shocking News
Wednesday, September 30th on The Young and the Restless. Nikki and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) talk about Nick’s sobriety and Nikki says the first weeks out of rehab are crucial. Victor wants Nikki to find another sponsor for Nick. Anyone but Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). But Nikki says that’s up to Nick. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) shows up and says Marie overdosed again and is in the hospital, still unconscious.
Adam worries Nick might spiral and he, Nikki and Victor decide it’s best to tell Nick as a family. Drug dealer Joe’s at Crimson Lights and Nick explodes on him. Joe tells Nick he just saw Marie. Nick throws him out and says never come back. His anger worries Sharon and Esther. Sharon tries to calm Nick down but that agitates him and he reminds Sharon that she is not his therapist. She thinks Nick should call Jack about being his sponsor. Nick’s still enraged and tells Sharon he wants to wipe dealer Joe off the face of the earth so he can’t hurt anyone again.
Y&R Spoilers: Nick Confused & Kyle’s Awkward Run-in
Adam calls and tells Nick to come home to the ranch, but Adam says, do not worry, it’s not about Matt so Nick takes off. But Sharon and Esther remain worried about him. And Nick wonders why Joe said Marie’s in town when she said she was going back East to be with her family. At Society, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) runs into Victoria and Claire. It’s weird for Victoria as Kyle and Claire talk about Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell).
After Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) texts her, Claire takes off and Kyle and Victoria chat about their fling. She does not feel guilty enough to stop seeing Kyle and he and Victoria both like the danger. They come up with code names Natasha and Boris to use on their text so nobody knows they’re talking. Kyle and Victoria agree what they have is not romantic. It’s pure chemistry. They want to get frisky but Nikki texts Victoria saying come home for family meeting.
Young and Restless Spoilers: Nick Horrified & Furious
Adam catches Victoria up when she gets to the house and says Marie’s in the hospital and it’s unclear if she’s going to make it. They all wait and worry and when Nick shows up he assumes they’re staging an intervention. Adam drops the bombshell that Marie overdosed. Nick says Marie told him she was leaving town to be near her parents. Nick asks Adam if Marie died and Adam says no but Marie’s still unconscious.
Nick wants to go see Marie and wants to pay all of her medical expenses. Nick wants to fly her family out to be with her. But Adam says Marie does not have any family. Adam had his best reporter do a deep dive into Marie and she has no one. Of course, that’s not what she told Nick, and it makes him sad. Nick hates thinking that Marie is so alone. Nick says he wants to be alone to process everything.
Victor wants Nick to stay on the ranch but he does not want to, he wants to go to the hospital to see Marie. Adam offers to go with him but Nick wants to be alone. Once he gets outside he mutters to himself that Joe is a dead man. Elsewhere, Kyle is at his and Victoria’s Danger Zone apartment thinking about the last time they were there. Kyle has a drink and waits for Victoria’s text but when she messages him she says they’re gonna have to reschedule, Kyle is disappointed.
Y&R Spoilers: Nick Takes Action
Thursday, October 1st on The Young and the Restless. Nick takes care of something himself. I suspect he may go and do a violent bad thing to drug dealer Joe. I would not be surprised if Nick assaulted him but hopefully he just scares the drug dealer into leaving town. After this Marie thing crops up, Victor gets everyone together trying to help Nick.
Depending on what he does to drug dealer Joe, they may need Michael Baldwin (Christian Leblanc) to address any possible legal ramifications. And I’m sure Victor’s not going to want Nick around Marie. But I suspect Nick shows up at the hospital and stays with Marie, which is better than Nick falling off the wagon or assaulting fentanyl dealers.
Young and the Restless Spoilers: Adam & Sally Understand Each Other
Friday, October 2nd on The Young and the Restless. Adam and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) reach an understanding. I wonder if Adam is asking Sally to keep Marie’s overdose off of her website also since Newman Media is not covering it either. And if Nick is arrested Adam may actually ask Sally not to cover that either but we’ll see.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) bury the hatchet. Since they are Sally’s bridesmaids together, I’m sure that Audra and Chelsea will realize they can’t keep tearing into each other because it’ll ruin Sally’s big day.
This week, Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) runs into Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally, and starts grilling them on whether they’re having a boy or girl. Abby suspects Billy and Sally already know but are just keeping it secret. Victoria shows Kyle a different side of herself. Looks like Victoria finally meets up with him at the Danger Zone love shack again and we’ll see at what point they start to catch feelings.
Young and Restless Spoilers: Tessa Returns Soon
The week of October 5th- 9th on The Young and the Restless. Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) is on screen again soon and I hope she reconnects with Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) now that he had that chat with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) who told Daniel she wants them all to be friends again. Victoria and Kyle start to realize their fling’s about more than just fun and sex but they’re gonna end up getting caught before too much longer. Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is back since Billy invited Jill to his and Sally’s wedding. I assume it’ll be Jess Walton.
We’ll find out if Matt is really gone. I suspect he may be off-screen for now but back in November sweeps which kicks off October 29th. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) gets closer to Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). Sally’s grandma Shirley Spectra (Patrika Darbo), and Sally’s sister Coco Spectra (Ashley Campbell) are in Genoa City soon. Billy and Sally’s wedding will be here before we know it and it will be the highlight of sweeps and we may see Billy and Sally’s little bundle of joy arriving sooner than expected. The Newmans rally around Nick as he is there for Marie.
