He has led billion-dollar action franchises and voiced cosmic superheroes, but Vin Diesel says his most meaningful character work happens far away from a movie set.
The Fast & Furious star recently took to social media to share a rare photo with his 11-year-old daughter, Pauline. As reported by People, the action icon reflected on his decades-long screen career while pinpointing the real-world role that defines his life.
“Riddick, Dom, Xander, Groot, Theo, Kaulder, Bloodshot… all parts of me,” Diesel wrote alongside the photograph. “But the role that completes me… dad.”
Diesel reportedly named Pauline in honor of his late friend and co-star Paul Walker, who died in 2013.
Diesel has spent decades playing some of Hollywood’s biggest action characters. His credits include Dominic Toretto in the Fast & Furious franchise, Richard B. Riddick in the Riddick series, and Groot in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers movies.
However, he pointed to this part of his life as more meaningful than any of those roles. The post comes as Diesel continues preparing for Fast Forever, the final installment of the main Fast & Furious storyline. The movie is currently scheduled to hit the theaters in 2028.
Vin Diesel has long said fatherhood is his greatest achievement
Diesel has often spoken about how becoming a father changed his priorities. He shares three children with his longtime partner & Mexican model Paloma Jimenez. He has two daughters, Hania and Pauline, and a son, Vincent.
Hania was born in 2008, while Vincent was born two years later in 2010. Pauline is the youngest of the three. Interestingly, his son, Vincent, has also appeared in the Fast & Furious franchise. He played a younger version of his father’s character, Dom Toretto, in flashback scenes in 2021’s F9.
Reports from Eastern Mirror have highlighted that Diesel continues to focus on family despite his high-profile career as one of Hollywood’s biggest action stars. The actor has previously opened up about how becoming a father changed his perspective on both his work and personal life.
