The Bold and the Beautiful presents a whole new side of Katie Logan (Heather Tom) lately, and it started when she left Forrester Creations and launched Logan. But once Will Spencer (Crew Morrow) started getting romantically involved with Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock), we saw Katie taking it to a whole new level. Today we’re going to talk about the way Will’s mom seems to be embracing her villain era.
The Bold and the Beautiful: Katie Sidelined at Forrester Creations
For years, Katie’s been an occasional schemer, but she was mostly living in Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang)’s shadow, you know, losing Bill to her off and on. And then things began to shift with Katie once she started to feel really unappreciated at Forrester Creations. It all started when Brooke and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) decided to bring in an outside PR firm to take over Katie’s job, because they decided without consulting her that she needed the help. So Brooke and Ridge basically sidelined Katie, and then Brooke acted like they were doing her a favor.
And then when Katie remarried Bill Spencer (Don Diamont), he gifted Katie a fashion house so she could have something of her own and wouldn’t have to answer to Brooke or Ridge or any Forrester. And immediately, Katie was mocked. Brooke made it out like Katie was hopeless.
You know, like Brooke was taunting Katie that she would never get her company off the ground. Then Brooke called Katie a thief for using her own last name, Logan, on her fashion house. Brooke thought the name Logan was her property, even though Forrester Creations has never used the name Logan in any line.
Eric’s Defection to Logan on B&B
In the beginning, Katie really wasn’t trying to betray Brooke, but that’s how Katie’s big sister saw it. And then when Eric Forrester (John McCook) secretly went over to Logan because he felt unappreciated, because Ridge forced him into retirement, things started to get more twisted. Katie did not recruit Eric. He came to Katie after Ridge essentially fired Eric from his own company, and he insisted Katie had to hire him, even though she warned Eric this would cause problems. But he made it clear he wanted revenge on Brooke and Ridge.
And when Eric backed out on Logan, we saw Katie and Bill felt they were entitled to use Eric’s designs because they were bought and paid for. But things got worse with Brooke and Ridge because Eric basically lied and misled the Forresters. So, they legit think Katie victimized Eric. He has not been honest.
The Bold and Beautiful: Hope Joins Logan and Brooke Lashes Out
And then, of course, it all really hit the fan when Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) lied and said she was on a leave of absence while secretly joining Logan. Although it was Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) who was pushing the hardest to get Hope over to Logan, we saw that Katie was also a big part of it. And this was when she started really having this attitude shift.
I think the breaking point was when Brooke called her over to Forrester Creations and then said, “Stay off my turf,” when she was the one who brought Katie there, and then Brooke savagely slapped her. That, plus showing up to Hope’s launch and busting the monitor, then Brooke trying to assault Katie again. I think that was just enough. So now Katie’s leaning into this, and she does not seem to care what Brooke thinks anymore. Katie is embracing her villain vibe, even though she didn’t start out intending to stir trouble. And of course, Bill’s been villainous about Logan competing with Forrester Creations from the get-go.
B&B: Katie Targets Zende
After Brooke accused Katie of stealing her daughter, that’s when Hope and Katie locked in on making Logan a smash success. And after Brooke ranted at her, now Katie doesn’t even feel a bit guilty about going after Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz). And neither does Hope. Now Ridge and Eric know what she’s up to. I’m certain that’ll send Brooke and the Forresters off the deep end. Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) dropped that bombshell on Eric and Ridge. Electra told them that Katie offered Zende a job at Logan, and Electra said Dylan is facilitating it.
Bold and the Beautiful: Katie’s Treatment of Dylan
And what also has Katie looking like a villainess is the way she has treated Dylan. Katie decided Electra belongs with Will. Even though Electra treated him terribly and dumped Will several times, for whatever reason, Katie decided Electra is better and Dylan was a gold-digging schemer. And Katie’s been terrible to Dylan on Bold and the Beautiful. Yes, she made a move on Will the second he and Electra broke up, but with the best intentions. And Will’s falling for Dylan. He keeps telling Katie to back off. And Darcy Dylan (Kelly Sullivan) read Katie for filth for how she treated Dylan.
Plus, Katie just bullied Dylan into proving her loyalty. She told her to get Zende to meet Hope and Katie so they could pitch Zende about joining Logan, and she did it. I expect Katie, though, to continue hassling and harassing Dylan despite her coming through for Katie. So this week, Electra overheard Zende and Dylan, and Electra couldn’t wait to blab to Ridge and Eric. And I’m sure they’re about to fire Dylan, and then I suspect Will pushes Katie to hire Dylan at Logan. Will already wants Dylan over there, but doubly so because Katie is the reason that Dylan’s going to lose her job.
The Bold and Beautiful: Ridge and Eric Confront Zende
Besides meddling in her son’s love life, we’re going to see more of Katie embracing being a corporate shark, just like her hubby, Bill, because Katie’s got more moves to make that are going to infuriate Brooke. Thanks to Electra, the Forresters know that Katie is trying to steal Zende. And by the end of this week, Ridge and Eric confront Zende about Katie’s job offer. Zende is going to tell Eric and Ridge he wouldn’t be in this position if they had treated Hope better, because she’d still be at Forrester Creations.
Initially, Zende probably wasn’t seriously considering Katie’s offer because he’s a Forrester. But when Ridge seems to lose his temper and asks Zende, “So, what, are you leaving us for the Spencers?” I think that’s a breaking point this week, and he may tell Ridge, “Put me in charge of the youth line. Show me the respect I’m due, and I’ll stay.” But I expect Ridge to clap back at Zende and refuse to set aside nepo baby RJ Forrester (Brayan Nicoletti).
Brooke and Katie Face-Off on B&B
And once Ridge reports back to Brooke that Katie’s trying to steal Zende, I expect Brooke to race over there and confront Katie. But I suspect Brooke may be surprised at the pushback, because Katie might say, “Why shouldn’t I take Zende? You’re not treating him right.” I expect Katie to be unapologetic about her business plans. Brooke will see recruiting Zende as one more stunt, you know, one more bad thing. But in Katie’s mind, she’s rescuing people who aren’t being treated right by the Forresters.
I suspect Zende was not going to seriously entertain Katie’s offer, especially with Electra flattering Zende so much this week. But with Eric and Ridge aggravating Zende, I think he might lose it and decide to accept Katie’s offer and go to Logan. If so, Zende will have his own line. But on top of that, I’m sure he’ll tell Katie and Hope about Forrester Creations‘ upcoming youth line, and Ridge and Eric will know that. So, I expect them to pressure RJ and Electra to rush on their youth line. And Katie may have Zende rush out a competing youth line for House of Logan.
Katie Goes Full Spencer on Bold
Plus, Katie has already launched Logan‘s jewelry line with Shauna Fulton (Denise Richards) running it. She’s got Fanny Grayson (Elsa Esnoult) on board doing their fragrance line. So, I feel like all that’s missing at this point, if Katie wants to be a full competitive villain, is to start a lingerie line to rival Brooke’s Bedroom over at Forrester Creations. Something like Logan Lingerie or Katie After Dark, something along those lines.
Can you imagine Brooke’s reaction? I think her head would explode. So, it definitely seems to me like Katie is embracing this new and more villainous side of herself. Brooke’s accusing her of being awful. So Katie may just go, okay, and lean into it and go full Spencer. And I think Bill will be very proud of his Katie for being as ruthless as he is.
