The Young and the Restless excites as Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)’s wedding kicks off at the end of this week, and it carries over into next week with the promise of a big, shocking finale. So, of course, we are wondering what might go down on Billy and Sally’s big day, over and above the man-and-wife stuff.
Today we’re going to talk about a few shocking things that might happen at Billy and Sally’s wedding that would make jaws drop. So, official The Young and the Restless spoilers tell us to expect the unexpected at Billy and Sally’s wedding. And in a recent interview, Jason Thompson, who plays Billy, said that there will be twists and turns, and things are going to happen to change the trajectory of the story for many years.
These new official spoilers say his and Sally’s wedding will have this shocking finale. But that’s not going to come until Monday’s episode, and the wedding begins on Friday. So, there are a few shocking things in mind that we could see happen at Billy and Sally’s wedding. So, let’s unpack those.
The Young and the Restless: Adam’s Potential Interference
First, I suspect Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) might want to stop the wedding and might make a scene. In a recent teaser clip of Billy and Sally’s wedding, there’s Adam front and center, looking really tense. There’s this spotlight moment with Sally where she’s backlit in her gorgeous white wedding gown and her sheer veil as she’s about to walk down the aisle. And it looks like Adam is stunned as he’s staring at Sally.
Adam may be thinking that should be him at the altar marrying Sally, not Billy Boy Abbott. And honestly, it could have been Adam if he didn’t break up with Sally back in 2022 trying to save her Newman Media job. Even after that, when he and Sally reunited, then of course Adam cheated with Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan). Granted, it was about kids’ stress. But I still think, in the back of Adam’s mind, he still loves her. So, there’s a chance that he may want to speak up and stop Sally from marrying Billy.
However, I don’t think it’ll get that far with Adam. He may want to interrupt the wedding or object. But if he opens his mouth, I think Chelsea will put a stop to it, or Sally may glare him down. But later, Adam may get tipsy and make a scene at the reception, which I’m sure would still upset Sally, because she was gracious enough to let him attend the wedding because Chelsea is in her wedding party. And of course, Billy will be furious, because he warned Adam not to cause trouble.
Patty Williams on the Loose on Y&R
Another thing we might see is Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) crashing the reception, because she is on the loose. I don’t expect to see her at Billy and Sally’s ceremony, because in the sneak peek video, we got a glimpse, and Patty’s nowhere to be seen at Sally’s wedding, and the venue room is a pretty small set, and it looks like there are around twenty people total. So, she won’t be able to sneak in.
But I could see Patty sneaking into the reception dressed as a cater-waiter, trying to blend in and not be seen. If you remember, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) pulled a similar stunt in 2023 at the GCAC after she faked her death, because she crashed her own memorial in a disguise. So, I could absolutely see Patty doing that, because she’s completely unhinged. She might show up in disguise to target Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Obviously, he’ll be there because he’s Billy’s best man.
And I wouldn’t put it past Patty to drug Jack and shove him into a GCAC laundry cart. You know, Patty may steal Jack and drag him upstairs to a room or to the cellar and take advantage of him again. That would be jaw-dropping. But Patty may hold off on her final appearance until deeper into November sweeps. But with a shocking finale promised, maybe it’s her coming for Jack, and then everybody’s upset.
Young and Restless: Jill Abbott’s Health Crisis
There’s also, of course, something to do with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). We know she already called and told Billy she won’t be able to make it to the wedding because she’s got to have more tests run. Snapper has been keeping them up to date, and we know Jill’s heart health is really bad. Billy and Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) are both worried about her. So, Snapper promised Billy that he’s going to look into what’s going on with Jill so that Billy can just focus on his wedding.
But I could see Jill showing up to surprise Billy, because she doesn’t want to miss his wedding. So, Jill may travel against doctor’s orders and come to Genoa City, and then Billy’s mom might end up collapsing during the ceremony or afterward at the reception. On the other hand, Jill might collapse off-screen while she’s still overseas, and Snapper might call Billy to let him and Cane know that Jill had a massive coronary and passed away.
That would be devastating and heartbreaking for Billy and Cane, and obviously for Sally too, for everybody, really, because Jill is a legacy character. But it would certainly be a shocking finale to the wedding. It would make their bright wedding day a little less shiny, though. So, let’s hope there is no tragedy with Jill, but we’ll see.

Kyle and Victoria’s Affair Exposed on Y&R?
One more dramatic event could be Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)’s affair being exposed at Billy and Sally’s wedding, or maybe during the reception. Kyle is standing up front as a groomsman, and Victoria is there as a guest alongside her and Billy’s kids, Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Abbott Newman (Sienna Mercuri). And I could absolutely see Kyle and Victoria unable to take their eyes off each other.
It seems like we’re starting to see some feelings develop between her and Kyle, because this week, after their latest romp at the danger zone, we saw Victoria pick up and start sniffing Kyle’s shirt. Then Victoria stopped, put it down, and reminded herself she and Kyle are not involved in that kind of way. For now, he and Victoria are both insisting that what is going on is pure chemistry and it’s just physical. There are no feelings involved, but I think that’s already starting to shift.
The Young and the Restless: Victor on High Alert
And as of now, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is already suspicious. So, this week, he calls Victoria to remind her she needs to get on a Zoom call. But then Victor sits in on the call in incognito mode, and he notices Victoria is not in her office, and she’s not at home. He doesn’t recognize the background. So, Victor starts questioning Victoria about it. And then Victor brings up Kyle and asks Victoria if she’s with that Abbott punk.
I don’t know why Victor is thinking Victoria would be with Kyle. But that might be foreshadowing that they are going to get caught soon. So, Victor may have Victoria followed to see what she’s up to. And at the wedding, we could see Kyle and Victoria sneak off to the cloakroom or a closet. You know, to get frisky, and Victor might be lurking because he’s suspicious. He might be the one to bust Kyle and Victoria. I do think that Victor would be the soapiest option as the person to expose their affair.
The Young and the Restless: Unexpected Labor and Drama
One last thing we could see is Sally going into labor right as she and Billy are pronounced husband and wife. A lot of fans, by the way, are hoping that Adam will be the one to deliver Sally’s baby. So, for that to happen, you’d have to have Billy distracted, maybe with a phone call about Jill. And he steps away for a minute, and then Sally goes into labor, and we see Adam rushing over and helping to bring Sally’s new baby into the world.
I think that would be cathartic, since Adam had to make that awful decision about saving Sally’s life over baby Ava’s when Sally went into early labor last time. I’m expecting lots of drama and chaos at Sally and Billy’s wedding and cannot wait to see it. It kicks off on Friday.
