Katie Ginella accused Gina Kirschenheiter of being a “producer puppet” who “plays both sides” and “twists” what people say in order to create her own “narrative.”
In a recent episode of Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador shared with Gina that Vicki was speaking negatively again about newbie Carmella Garcia – suggesting that Carmella could live in two different cities because Danny, her boyfriend, was the one taking care of the kids. Gina then hinted that Shannon should leak this info to Carmella. When Shannon didn’t take the bait, Gina said she would.
“Every single person on this episode, except for Tamra … is acting,” said Katie on her podcast, Bravo’s Most Wanted. “It’s literally the fakest, most contrived acting I’ve ever seen from them. It was wild to me.”
She then threw shade at Gina.
“Why does anyone tell [Gina] anything?” asked Katie. “I learned [this] the hard way … but she takes every instance and plays both sides. … She twists things to make the narrative juicy. … She’s going to twist it and turn it and be the producer puppet. And that’s where the acting comes in. … She was sent in to do that [and later pretends she’s not involved].”
“This is her MO. This is what she does. It’s on repeat, and I can’t believe more people don’t see it,” she said. “This is the core of Gina, is let me take this one little thing you said and twist it.”
Katie later agreed with her co-host Jami Rice that Gina is inauthentic.
Last year, in an interview for Us Weekly, Katie addressed how castmates treated her last season.
“I just feel like a lot of this is me being held to a higher standard and a different set of rules than everybody else,” she said at the time. “I just think they don’t know me, and they’re always moving the goalposts of what’s okay and what’s not okay.”
“I was eaten alive. So that was me going into this season, my second season, is I’ve gotta be more prepared,” she continued. “I do think it [all] came from one person that maybe set me up for something and made other people believe something untrue about me.”
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Orange County air Thursday nights on Bravo.
