Fans of The Real Housewives of Atlanta likely remember Simon Guobadia for being married to Porsha Williams.
Tonight, shocking news about Simon, 62, broke.
Specifically, TMZ reported that Simon was indicted after allegedly filing false tax returns.
The outlet obtained court documents that detailed that he was indicted in a federal court in Georgia on Tuesday on two counts of assisting in the preparation and filing of a false federal tax return.
Prosecutors who are involved in the case claimed that, in March 2021, Simon filed paperwork in which he stated he had $0 of taxable income even though he allegedly knew he made more.
It was also alleged by the Feds that Simon did not fully report sales he made for his company, Simcol Petroleum Limited. On paperwork, they listed more than $45 million in gross sales.
The prosecutors also alleged that, in July 2021, this happened again, with Simon claiming he had made $58,231 in taxable income, even though Simcol put down that they made almost $31 million in gross sales.
The feds noted Simon was aware that both his taxable and gross income were larger than what he reported.
While it’s not known if Simon was taken into custody, the court records stated an arrest warrant had been issued.
In September 2025, US Weekly shared documents revealing that the Court of Appeals of the State of Georgia had declined Simon’s request for a discretionary appeal following the finalization of his divorce from Porsha, 45. What this meant was that the judge who was presiding over the case agreed with Porsha and her legal representatives that a prenup should be enforced.
While Simon had tried to appeal the divorce settlement, he was not successful.
Before that, in June 2025, Simon was deported from the United States of America.
To date, Porsha has not commented on the latest developments surrounding Simon.
