Dorothy Wang shared a video of her and her husband, Brandon Yankowitz, learning the gender of their first child on her YouTube channel on Sunday.
After the conclusion of Dorothy’s I Do, the five-part series that followed her and Brandon, 44, in the moments leading up to their October 2025 wedding in Florence, Italy, as well as the big day itself, Dorothy, 38, posted a clip of the two of them discovering whether they would be mom and dad to a baby boy or a baby girl.
In the October 25 video, the Rich Kids of Beverly Hills alum first explained that while she’d been sitting on the gender news for three weeks, she wasn’t ready to learn what she was having until her and Brandon’s party in Los Angeles.
“I wasn’t ready yet, and then we were gonna do it in the Hamptons, and then we thought, ‘Okay, we’re gonna come to L.A. My mom’s gonna be here.’ So we’re doing a small gender reveal. Easy peasy. I don’t want exploding balloons,” Dorothy explained, noting that dramatic gender reveals can be “awkward.”
According to Dorothy, who is due next spring, she felt that her child was a boy due to information she learned on social media.
“I think it’s a boy just because on TikTok, it said that savory cravings are more boy and sweet cravings are more girl, and if you like, kind of like have a calm pregnancy, and you feel like, chill and easy, it’s usually a boy. And actually, my skin has been pretty good. All my eczema went away. They say that usually girls, they mess up the mother’s skin because they take the mother’s beauty, but boys don’t,” Dorothy revealed, before adding, “But I’d be very happy with a beautiful baby girl, too.”
Although twins run in Brandon’s family, Brandon said that all he wanted was a “healthy baby.”
As Dorothy and Brandon’s family and friends were asked what they thought she was carrying, 14 voted for a boy, as eight suspected it was a girl.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Farrah Aldjufrie, 37, who is expecting a boy with partner Zach Goldsmith, 51, in November, was in the boy camp.
“I think it’s a boy. I don’t know if I am biased, but I selfishly hope it’s a boy so we can be besties,” she stated, as Zach guessed both genders so producers could edit out his incorrect answer.
After she and Brandon presented themselves to their audience and opened the envelope containing their child’s gender, Dorothy declared, “We are having a … a boy!”
“I kind of knew it. I felt it, but you just never know. All my girlfriends are pregnant now [and are] all having boys,” she continued. “We don’t have boys in my family. I don’t even have one friend that has like a brother in their family. We don’t know what to do with boys.”
Dorothy’s I Do is currently available for streaming on YouTube.
