What was said?! In Gabourey Sidibe’s appearance on Tea Time, she pulled up with plenty to spill about Raven-Symoné allegedly disliking her and telling others not to be “friends” with her. “I’m gonna be on whatever time you on,” Sidibe warned. Oop!

In a sit-down with Raven and her wife Miranda Maday, Sidibe checked the Disney alum’s temperature about their prickly past. “I didn’t think you liked me. I was actually here, like, ‘What’s up?’. I’m gonna be on whatever time you on,” the American Horror Story star said.
Raven cracked up about “the New York coming out” as her guest stood on business.
“What’s up? What’s up?” Sidibe jokingly said with full New Yawk energy as Maday asked why she thought Raven disliked her.
“You treated me like you didn’t like me,” Gabby doubled down.
As Raven said “my bad” for giving the cold shoulder, Gabby that the covert conflict went deeper than that.
“I was told that you made some people promise to not be friends with me,” she continued. Raven swiftly side-eyed the one-sided beef, asking who told her that.
The bold baddie named some names, but the Tea Time team edited them out.
While Raven sat in surprised silence, her wife in shining armor tagged herself in: “So, you know [bleeped name]is a s**t-stirrer too, right? We have to tell you things offline about that situation.”
Fans questioned why someone as opinionated as Raven needed anyone to answer for her, especially since Maday seemed to have nothing to do with her long-standing static with Sidibe.
“I remember we went to a restaurant in Chicago and you were just, I don’t know…” Sidibe began. “A b***h?” Raven asked. “I felt like you were put off,” the mom of twins continued.
Maday chimed in again in defense of her wife, clarifying “Raven can be shady,” but that default standoffish energy isn’t personal. “When Raven doesn’t know somebody—now, from like observing her behavior—she can come off very cold and very distant. But, it’s not from a place of disliking, it’s from a place of not knowing,” Maday said.
Raven noted, “And having a lot of chips on my shoulders. Which I’ll explain to you offline.”
Maday continued to clean up the conflict, saying that she and Raven welcome a fresh start at friendship. “But, I will tell you. I like you. You can come around. We can be friends,” she said.
Later in the episode, Maday asked the Cheetah Girls OG how if she felt “clocked” about Sidibe confronting her.
“I appreciate her for calling it out. Because, listen, I’ve been in this industry for a long a** time. Gonna come up against people that I’m not friends with, that I was friends with, that I have feelings about, or whatnot, and during that time, who knows? You know, I probably was a little bit of a b*tch. But, I own up to it,” Raven admitted.
It’s giving that the off-camera conversation was way juiciest part, but fans had more than enough to discuss about the now-viral exchange. Some thought Raven gets away with shady behavior on the regular because she’s a legend.
Others believed sexism played a role in the expectations for Raven compared to her male counterparts.
And a few thought Maday was right to have Raven’s back during an awkward moment before things went left. However, quite a few fans questioned why Maday didn’t “C” her way out of the “A” and “B” conversation. Maybe no one understands Raven but her woman.
