Paramount has officially unveiled a multi-year deal for the exclusive linear television rights to the Harry Potter film franchise. The Harry Potter movies will start airing on MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite, and Paramount Network on July 3. The new licensing agreement between Paramount and Warner Bros. Discovery marks the first time Harry Potter will appear on Paramount’s television networks.
The news comes as Paramount is finalizing its acquisition of Warner Bros. Pictures. Should the deal go through, the Harry Potter franchise would come under its ownership.
