SPOILER ALERT! This story contains details about the Season 4 finale of MGM+’s FROM.
Few characters on FROM have changed as dramatically as Fatima (Pegah Ghafoori). First introduced in Season 1 as a source of optimism in a town built on fear, she’s become increasingly entangled in the show’s darkest mysteries. By the end of Season 4, Fatima realizes that in order to save her friends, she must fully embrace her fate by undergoing a monstrous transformation. That sense of self-sacrifice and character evolution is exactly what made this season such a challenge for Ghafoori.
Ahead of the Season 4 finale, Deadline spoke with Ghafoori about charting Fatima’s journey, filming the season’s most physically and emotionally demanding scenes, and finding the humanity in a character confronting an unimaginable transformation. We also discussed what she’s learned about the creatures of the night after four seasons, how much the writers revealed about Fatima’s arc as production progressed, and why FROM continues to inspire some of television’s most obsessive fan theories.
Naturally, Deadline had to ask about the finale. Ghafoori offers insight into the emotional weight of the season’s final chapter and explains why Fatima—and the world of FROM—may never be the same going into the final season. Watch the interview below.
