Karlie Kloss is opening up about her political beliefs.
If you didn’t know, the 33-year-old model and businesswoman has been married to Joshua Kushner since 2018. Josh‘s, 41, older brother Jared Kushner is married to Ivanka Trump.
In a new interview with Bloomberg Originals, Karlie once again reaffirmed that she is a Democrat as she was asked if she’s ever had a conversation with Donald Trump about politics.
“I have never met President Trump,” Karlie stated.
Elsewhere in the interview, Karlie spoke about how she deals with being married to a man who’s connected to the Trump family.
“Well, I know who I am,” Karlie explained. “I know the values that guide my life and the issues that I care about. So, you know, I haven’t lost sight of who I am, but also, it’s my husband’s family.”
When asked what family dinner conversations are like, Karlie answered, “Well, we’re sitting here in St. Louis, which is a blue dot in a red state. Since as long as I can remember, I’ve always been exposed to a lot of different political points of view, and I think that trained me for my life.”
“You know, I’m a Democrat,” she added. “I think it’s possible to have relationships with people who you politically don’t align with. And I think this country has always been a place for dialogue. We have to be able to talk to each other.”
In an interview from 2020, Karlie addressed the “complications” of marrying into the Kushner family.
