An expert alleges that Meghan Markle is turning to King Charles for an important reason. The claims come amid rumors that Prince Harry is trying to mend ties with the royal family. The speculation adds another dimension to ongoing discussions about the family’s current tensions.
Expert says Meghan Markle is using King Charles for fame and money
A royal commentator believes that Meghan Markle could see more money and power through a “pathway” linked to King Charles. Meanwhile, reports say that Prince Harry is “dreaming” of a joint public appearance with his father at next year’s Invictus Games in Birmingham.
As reported by the Daily Express, people close to the Duke of Sussex have suggested that he would “relish” appearing alongside the monarch at the competition he founded in 2014. He has continued to support the event since stepping down from royal duties with Markle in 2020.
Angela Levin, a royal commentator and biographer, addressed the rumors, stating, “It’s not a dream reunion. It is a pathway to gather money, power, and give Meghan all she wants.”
“Having the King attend the Invictus Games would represent far more than simply appearing at a public event. For Harry, it would be a powerful symbol that they have turned a corner and are prepared to move forward together. He wants his father by his side as part of a full reunion,” noted the insider, per The News International.
Last month, Prince Harry visited the UK without Meghan Markle. He was present at a one-year countdown event for the Invictus Games in Birmingham and later did goat yoga in Warwickshire. Reports suggest that Markle skipped the trip due to security worries. The royal pair reportedly met privately with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House, along with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Insiders close to the couple told Vanity Fair that the reunion ran for about an hour and was “completely cloak-and-dagger, orchestrated by the King”. Additionally, Charles has invited the Sussexes to join the rest of the Royal Family for the summer at Balmoral.
