Recently, Kelly Osbourne appeared in an Attitude Magazine interview for a TikTok video, where the interviewer asked her about her mother Sharon Osbourne’s support for anti-immigration activist Tommy Robinson. The singer addressed her political differences with her mother while discussing her views on the matter.
Daughter Osbourne said, “I don’t agree with my mum, no. That’s one thing that I can say that I don’t agree with her on.”
“It’s hard because I love my mum. … It’s really hard when it comes to politics and things like that, but that’s not for me.” She added.
However, even while expressing her disagreement, Kelly Osbourne made it clear that her mother, Sharon Osbourne, is “entitled to her own opinions.”
According to Page Six, during a red carpet interview on Tuesday, the interviewer also asked the More Than Life Itself star whether she had spoken with the 73-year-old about her views on LGBTQ+ rights. Kelly said she feels saddened by certain things her parents have said about the issue.
TV personality said, “I don’t know if my mom knows enough trans people to make a fair judgment or anything to do with that sort of thing.” Kelly Osbourne also believes that her mother’s comments stem largely from a lack of education on these topics.
For context, Sharon Osbourne faced criticism after commenting “see you at march” on an Instagram post related to anti-immigration activist Tommy Robinson’s march. Following the controversy, Centrepoint, a charity that supports homeless women, announced that it had ended all future ties with Sharon Osbourne.
