Hey, General Hospital fans, we’ve got a new leak for you, and it’s all about what happens with Danny Morgan (Asher Jared Antonyzyn) now that Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) has been sent away to boarding school.
Danny is devastated and he is furious because he’s lost his best friend, Charlotte. And let’s be real, he’s headed for trouble. Today we’re going to talk about a brand-new leak we just got from our very trustworthy source that says Danny develops clinical depression after Charlotte’s exit to boarding school.
General Hospital: Charlotte in Hot Water
So, we just saw Charlotte trying to set up Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to look like a sexual predator so she could blackmail him into letting Danny spend time with his sister Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski). And of course, the plan blew up and Charlotte was actually caught by Scout. After that, Charlotte’s parents made sure that she faced consequences.
Her parents, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins), are on the same page, which is a miracle. They are united in their decision to send Charlotte away to a boarding school in Maine. So, Valentin and Lulu think that Charlotte needs a stricter environment and much more supervision than they can give her. She put herself in a dangerous situation.
Charlotte Learning Her Lesson on GH
And Lulu made a good point that there are real predators out there and real victims. So Charlotte making a false statement about something so serious is real sketchy. So of course Danny was absolutely crushed when Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) told him that Charlotte is being sent away to boarding school. And then of course at least they got to say goodbye.
But Danny’s also furious. He’s blaming Rocco for Charlotte being sent away because Danny says Rocco should have supported Charlotte. And then Danny was raging about Rocco ratting out Charlotte instead of supporting her. Then Rocco clapped back at Danny and he and Charlotte, you know, saying they’ve been doing all these reckless illegal things for months. And Rocco said Lulu and Valentin were right to send Charlotte away.
But then Rocco went too far. And he said if Danny’s mom, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), was still alive, she would have sent Danny away, too. That’s when he lost it and punched Rocco in the face. And he did get a hit back on Danny, but then he gave Rocco a thorough beatdown. And Danny told Rocco, “Stay away from my family. Keep my mom’s name out of your mouth.” And I agree, Rocco was wrong to bring up Danny’s mom, Sam. But Rocco was right that Danny’s been getting more reckless. And it feels like he’s been getting more aggressive for a while.
General Hospital: Danny’s Downward Spiral
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) finally had to step in and deal with it. Danny just keeps making bad decisions, most of them involving vehicles. It’s gotten so bad Jason banned Danny from driving for six months because he stole the Quartermaine boat and he damaged that. He stole Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) truck and he scratched that.
And Danny crashed Charlotte’s car on Route 98 and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) cleaned up that mess. And then Danny tried to steal Tracy Quartermaine‘s (Jane Elliot) Mustang to try and stop Charlotte from setting Drew up. So there’s just a lot. Also, Danny went and tried to join the mob while his dad Jason was in WSB custody.
So, I will say he comes by it honestly. Jason has been a risk taker a lot of his life. Sam was quite the wild thing for a long time. Bottom line, Danny’s making terrible decisions and he and Charlotte did seem to be bad influences on each other. But instead of Danny trying to stop Charlotte from doing reckless and dangerous things, he encouraged her and vice versa. She did the same. They were kind of partners in crime. And it is true Danny and Charlotte support one another because they really get where the other one is coming from.
Danny & Charlotte Out of Control on GH
It comes from a place of good intentions, but it just spun out of control. At least Danny tried to stop Charlotte’s latest stunt with Drew, but his plotting with Charlotte about Drew is what triggered that incident. And unfortunately, with Charlotte gone, I suspect Danny is going to get worse because he’s not going to have Charlotte around and she means a lot to him. And then he just had that huge fight with Rocco. So, that relationship is done. And this week, Danny and Scout also get into it.
So, Danny’s going to be really isolated. Plus, I think despite blaming Rocco, I can see that Danny’s going to start to blame himself because if not for the stunt Charlotte tried to pull with Drew to help Danny, then Charlotte would still be in Port Charles. Now, supposedly Danny will get to see Charlotte again.
Her portrayer, Bluesy Burke, headed off to Vassar, a really great college. And the powers that be said she’s not leaving General Hospital permanently. They said that she would film as Charlotte on school breaks, but we’ll see if that actually manifests. So, Bluesy Burke is gone for now and things are about to get much worse for Danny with his bestie Charlotte gone.
General Hospital LEAK: Danny Falls into Depression
And so, that brings us around to what is in this new leak. So, we got this recently from our very reliable General Hospital behind-the-scenes source, and they said Danny is going to develop clinical depression now that Charlotte is gone. This makes perfect sense to me because of how Danny has been gradually spiraling already. He is being so reckless and he is making risky and dangerous decisions one after the other.
He really struggled when Jason was stuck in that WSB facility. And of course, when Danny found out Rocco shot Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Jason took the blame, we saw Danny just go off the rails. Jason’s back now, but Danny has lost somebody almost as important to him as Jason. And clearly his mom Sam’s death is still weighing on Danny. And already Jason’s worried about how Danny’s going to handle Charlotte’s absence because Jason knows how close Danny was to Charlotte.

Danny Lost without Charlotte on GH
Danny and Charlotte leaned on each other and Danny relied on her and she on him. But that led to risky things like, you know, heading to Wyndemere and putting their lives on the line. So, Jason is very worried about how Danny is going to act moving forward. Jason is right to be worried.
So I just want to clarify this as I always do that this is a leak. It is not a confirmed spoiler. So, I classify these as rumors. However, our source has a really good track record and they’ve come through many times. They told us about Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna)’s death way before it happened and just a bunch of other juicy stuff that panned out.
So, given the events we’ve already seen and Danny’s rage over Charlotte being sent away, it does make a lot of sense. I can see Danny’s mental health could start to suffer without him having Charlotte around. And we’ve got Danny’s rage at Scout and Rocco being problematic because they’re part of Danny’s core group.
General Hospital: Jason Steps Up to Support Danny
With Charlotte gone and Danny rejecting his sister Scout and his sort of brother Rocco, that means Danny’s all alone. And while he’s blaming Scout and Rocco now for what happened with Charlotte, I’m pretty sure Danny is going to also blame himself heavily.
The good news is Jason’s had years of experience with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who has struggled with mental health issues. And Jason’s close to Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). She’s going through a mental health crisis right now.
So, I think Jason will recognize the signs and try and get Danny some help. Of course, he’ll probably fight him on it. I think it’ll be good angsty story line for both Jason and Danny. So, the leaker said this is the main story line for Jason and Danny going into fall and it kicks off soon.
