All American just aired its emotional series finale, and Netflix already has a date locked in for Season 8’s streaming debut. The final season’s arrival on the platform comes with major character reveals and a surprise returning cast member.
All American Season 8 is coming to Netflix this October
The final season of The CW’s football drama All American arrives on Netflix in October 2026, according to What’s on Netflix. The listing confirms that multiple seasons of the show will join the platform on October 6. This follows the series finale, which aired on Monday, September 28.

The finale, titled “To Live and Die in L.A.,” wrapped up the show after eight seasons. Daniel Ezra returned as Spencer James alongside Samantha Logan as Olivia. The episode featured a six-year time jump revealing each character’s future.
Showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll spoke to TVLine about crafting the ending. She said she always envisioned Spencer succeeding in the NFL and marrying Olivia. Carroll also revealed that Taye Diggs agreed almost instantly to reprise his role as Billy Baker. “I don’t think I fully finished articulating the thought, and he was like, ‘I’m in,’” she told TVLine.
The finale revealed that Jordan became South Crenshaw High’s head football coach. Khalil pivoted from football to pursue medical school after helping Olivia through early labor. Coop was sworn in as a lawyer, while Amina entered politics as her father’s campaign manager. Spencer retired as a three-time Super Bowl champion after transferring to a Los Angeles team.
The CW renewed the show for a final eighth season in 2025. The network confirmed at the time that All American remained its top entertainment program in key demographics. The CW has shifted its lineup toward sports and unscripted programming following Nexstar’s majority acquisition. All American was the last remaining scripted series from before that ownership change.
