Taylor Swift made an impossibly chic cameo on Saturday Night Live.
Swift, 36, made a surprise appearance during her BFF Dakota Johnson’s Saturday, October 3, opening monologue, donning an off-the-shoulder Simkhai minidress ($595) that she paired with heeled Burberry boots, a gold YSL chain belt and gold jewelry by Cartier.
For glam, Swift sported a rosy lip and wore her blonde tresses in a wavy bob.
Swift and Johnson, 37, have been pals for nearly a decade, with the Verity actress even turning to the pop star for dating advice.
“What else has happened since the last time I hosted [in January 2024]? I went through two very public, very lame breakups with two very awesome musicians,” Johnson said on Saturday, seemingly referring to exes Chris Martin and Role Model. “It’s not my fault though. Some people leave concerts with merch and I leave concerts with a two-and-a-half year relationship.”
She continued, “I have really good friends. They don’t judge me, they’re really supportive.”
In fact, Johnson jokingly referred to Swift as her “literal therapist.”
“I’m not your therapist, actually,” Swift chimed in. “You just show up once a week at my house with an empty bottle of wine and ask if I want some. And then you flop on my couch and overshare and every so often, I just say, ‘Damn, that’s crazy!’”
Johnson further posited that her star-studded dating history could even be considered a “public service.”
“While we’re on the subject of musicians, I think actually I’m doing a public service by dating them because, ladies, I’m saving you a lot of money on Zoloft,” she quipped. “You’re welcome, America! And also England. And parts of Ireland. And Cleveland, allegedly!”
Johnson has most recently been linked to Cleveland native Machine Gun Kelly, whom she met at Swift’s wedding to Travis Kelce in July.
“They are seriously dating and their relationship has moved quickly since they met at Taylor’s wedding,” a source exclusively told Us last month of Johnson and Kelly, 36. “There was an instant spark and they have been keeping in touch, talking and FaceTiming every day for the last month.”
Saturday Night Live airs on NBC Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET.
