Beyond the Gates spoilers for Oct 5-9, 2026 include Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings) being a target after she blackmailed Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) because the Duprees are not going to let her get away with this. And Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) is terrified after that attack on her.
We’re going to see Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) worried and Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) scheming and Heather Armstrong (Ashley Jones) underestimating an opponent. But first, as we always do on early edition day, we’re going to talk about what is happening the rest of this week and then we’re going to dig into what is happening next week. Let’s get started.
Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Vanessa Targeted
Wednesday, September 30th on Beyond the Gates. Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) gets Vanessa medical attention. So, Andre is there and he’s telling Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix) up at the hospital that Vanessa was just brought into the emergency room because she was carjacked. And of course, this coincidentally happened after she turned down Heather’s invitation. And Vanessa tells Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) when he rushes up to Garland Memorial to be at her side that this was not random.
Vanessa says, “I was targeted.” Joey’s going to know right away. This is Heather’s dirty deed. But Vanessa may want to offer Heather the benefit of the doubt. If Joey even mentions it, we’ll see. With Nicole livid, Joey, if she gets a whiff that Heather might be involved, that could explain her fury. Nicole already warned Joey to keep his sister Heather away from her family. And then Nicole is asking when will Joey admit he can’t keep Vanessa safe.
BTG Spoilers: Joey After Revenge & Bill Caves to Hayley
And Joey vows that the responsible person will be dealt with. Heather has messed with the wrong girlfriend. Clearly, Bill’s decision stuns his family. This picks back up from Tuesday when he told Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) and Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) shocking news. Bill said he’s dropping the charges against Hayley. But the news spreads quickly and people are going to get angry and they’re going to be stunned that Bill is letting his horrible wife Hayley get away with poisoning him.
So Chelsea asked Bill if Hayley’s got something on him, but Bill gets defensive and he tells Chelsea, “Don’t start coming up with conspiracies to explain what you don’t understand.” Dana “Leslie” Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Hayley’s visit continues from the Tuesday episode.
Despite Leslie springing Hayley from jail, she still looks down on Leslie. And doesn’t like that she’s trying to push this friendship on her that Hayley just doesn’t want. Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) and Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) write Chelsea a big reality check. She already started a brawl with Hayley at Orphe Jeans that could have gotten her arrested and Chelsea is furious about Bill dropping the charges. So, Chelsea may be making threats about taking care of Hayley herself.
Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Smitty in Trouble
Thursday, October 1st on Beyond the Gates. We’ve got Jacob finding more evidence, but the family is resisting believing it. I think this is in the Smitty case. So, maybe Jacob has found more evidence that Heather had altered to discredit Smitty and link him into Leah Whitmore’s (Cecelia Specht) death. If it’s really blatant and ridiculous, the Duprees may finally smell a setup. Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon)’s career in politics is in jeopardy, and this may be about the accusations about Smitty, especially if Jacob warns that they may have to arrest Smitty soon.
Dani does her best to encourage Bill. He’s upset because Hayley made a fool of him. And of course, Bill wanted to see her locked up, but he’s got to protect the Duprees. This week, an irate Bill is back up at the office and he smashes a photo of him and Hayley and is just having a whole fit of rage. Chelsea takes her stress out on Dr. Madison Montgomery (Kenjah McNeil).
I wonder if Chelsea is going to blame Madison for not figuring out sooner that Bill was poisoned. Francesca “Chessy” Belleclaire (Madison Alsobrook) and Tomas Navarro (Alex Alegria) patch things up because they find common ground over a common enemy. That’s got to be Hayley. Caroline and Hayley face off. And I’m sure Caroline is disgusted by Hayley, suspicious of why Bill dropped the charges. And I bet Caroline doesn’t want to talk to Hayley because she also has been using her all along.
BTG Spoilers: Andre Lashes Out
Friday, October 2nd on Beyond the Gates. Andre has some harsh criticism for his wife, Dani. And this may be after she takes Nicole’s advice and Dani finally tells Andre that she stared down the barrel of Hayley’s gun and almost died. Dani was afraid to tell Andre that piece of her ordeal she went through with Hayley because Dani knew Andre would freak out over the risk she took and he’s going to.
Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) throws a homecoming party I assume for Banneker and Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) and Nicole navigate their new normal because Chenise and Kyle are on hand for the party as their plus ones. Bill comes clean to Elon Hawthorne (Malachi Malik). I expect that Bill’s got to explain why he wants the charges against Hayley dropped. Bill’s going to have to admit he’s being blackmailed, but I think Elon will understand and will agree to let Bill drop the charges. But then Vernon goes on high alert when he gets new intel.
So, Chief Elon shows up at Vernon’s door and warns him, “We’ve got a situation.” So, could be about the Smitty stuff, but I tend to think that Elon is giving Vernon a heads up about Hayley blackmailing Bill over the Martin stuff. Heather is feeling pretty smug as she tells a minion that Vanessa’s a very lucky girl, but you know what they say, luck has a habit of running out. Heather’s insane and Joey has to plot to protect Vanessa from her.
Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Joey on the Warpath
Then the week of October 5th through the 9th on Beyond the Gates, Joey is furious about what happened to Vanessa. And of course, he knows it was Heather. So Joey is struggling with what to do about it. He keeps watching that video that Andre gave him of Heather executing somebody. And Joey knows this is about to get messy, but he’s got to shut Heather down. Andre is very upset at Dani.
And of course, she’s still sitting on that other big Bill secret. If Andre finds out that Dani slept with Bill at the fundraiser, that’s probably going to be a marriage ender. And despite what Anita said about leaving Dani alone, Bill might tell Andre what happened. We know that Anita doesn’t want Bill in Dani’s life. So, Bill might begin with good intentions, but then finds he just can’t stay away from Dani.
And if she and Andre are having a rough go, she might get closer to Bill. And of course, Heather is still there, and she could tell Dani about her fling with Andre at any point, knowing that that will mess up their marriage, which of course is Heather’s goal because she wants Andre back. So, watch for Joey to go confront Heather and for her to lie to his face and tell him that, you know, carjackings happen. The DMV can be unsafe.
BTG Spoilers: Vernon & Bill Strategize
So, Vernon may go confront Bill about Hayley’s blackmail. And then he and Bill can discuss what to do about Hayley. Because after this attempted murder thing, Bill and everybody else knows Hayley can’t be trusted. So her saying she won’t tell anybody and we’ll hand over all the copies. That’s not going to fly. There’s a lot of people at risk, not just Bill. There’s Vernon, there’s Martin, there’s Ted, there’s Elon, there’s Joey, Marcel Malone (Darryl W. Handy), all of them are wrapped up in this.
So, we may also see Nicole pressing Vanessa again to take a step back from Joey after what happened with the carjacking, especially since Vanessa says she was targeted. Nicole may assume it’s because she’s dating Joey. Andre is nearly at the end of his rope and may confront Bill again. He’s also sick and tired of psycho Hayley and wants Joey to get rid of her soon. I’m also interested to see if Joey has noticed that pile of cash that Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry) took from the casino to help Hayley. Because the last time Randy took money, Joey almost had him killed.
