Hey, General Hospital fans. We just found out that Aussie newcomer Jude (Wil Traval) is not only part of the Jacks family, but he is Jerry Jacks’ (Sebastian Roché) son, exactly as we suspected. And Jude just rocked Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to her core when he claimed that Phoebe Wilson (Lucia and Luna Creighton) is his daughter, and we know he is not going to back down.
Today, we’re going to talk about what shocking things may happen next, now that Jude has come for the baby girl that Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn adopted, because there is a big baby battle about to begin.
General Hospital: Jude Reveals He’s Jerry’s Son
All right, so we just saw Jude show up on the Quartermaines’ doorstep asking to see his daughter and claiming baby Phoebe is his. And of course, Brook Lynn was absolutely floored, and so were Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). But then things got a lot worse when Jude introduced himself, saying that he is a Jacks. Even worse, he revealed he is Jerry’s son.
Jason and Tracy were immediately on high alert, because Jerry is an uber villain, and the entire town of Port Charles both hates and fears Jude’s father. So, Jason told Jude he had to go. He did leave peacefully, but he told Brook Lynn he’s not gone for good. And then we saw Jude go straight to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn)’s law office, and Jude said he needs a lawyer and was referred to Alexis by somebody who says that she is the best. She was flattered, but then horrified when she asked Jude who referred her, and he said it was his father, Jerry Jacks.
So, now that Jude is introducing himself around town and making it clear he’s going after his daughter, Phoebe, we know Brook Lynn, Chase, and Tracy are going to fight back with everything they’ve got. Others are going to take the Quartermaine side, because pretty much everybody in town is going to hate Jude because of Jerry. So, let’s talk about this big coming baby battle.
Why Alexis Can’t Represent Jude on GH
Step one is what we’re going to see happening with him and Alexis, because she definitely cannot represent him. So Jude’s about to find out why Alexis can’t rep him. That is because she handled Phoebe’s adoption, and Brook Lynn and Chase were her clients.
So, Alexis has a clear conflict of interest. There’s no way she can take on Jude as a client. And Alexis may explain there was a DNA test that matched, and the biological father signed away his rights. Jude’s going to insist he is the father, and I think he’s going to leave mad, because I’m guessing Alexis won’t tell him who this other supposed bio dad is.
So, we should see Jude angry and frustrated when he leaves Alexis’s office. And I suspect Jude storms off to plan how to start this baby battle for Phoebe without Alexis on his side. And even if she could possibly take Jude’s case, I don’t think there’s any way Alexis would ever help Jerry’s son.
General Hospital: Alexis Warns the Quartermaines
Next, I suspect Alexis runs over to see the Quartermaines. I think she’ll go talk to Brook Lynn and Chase. And of course, Tracy and Jason will probably be part of the conversation. And based on Jude’s allegation, Alexis may recall that Ethan Lovett (Nathan Dean) was being super sketchy, and he was hardcore insistent on a closed adoption.
So, we could see Alexis telling Chase and Brook Lynn that originally she had no reason to suspect the person who claimed to be Phoebe’s bio dad was lying. Plus, Alexis will tell them, “Look, he passed a DNA test.” And Tracy will probably rant and blame Alexis for what’s happening.
I suspect Tracy is going to shake Ethan’s name out of Alexis, because, if you remember, Tracy is real tight with Ethan. Tracy even saved his life. She bought Ethan at that illegal auction when Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) was selling Ethan so his enemies could kill him. So, I don’t know if we’re going to get Nathan Dean back as Ethan in this storyline, but I do suspect Tracy’s going to head off looking for him.
Jude Hires Another Lawyer on GH
And then next, we’re going to see Jude getting another lawyer. And then he’ll have to obtain DNA proof that Phoebe is his baby. I doubt that Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) would take Jude’s case, because Brook Lynn is so close to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
But Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) might do it. Or they could bring back Martin Gray (Michael E. Knight). That would be great, because I love Michael E. Knight, and Martin hates Tracy.
Jude’s allegations are the basis for his lawyer to file for DNA evidence to establish Jude’s paternity of Phoebe. And then Jude’s lawyer can make a motion to undo Phoebe’s adoption. And while the court sorts it out, Jude should at least get visitation with Phoebe once he proves he’s the bio dad.
General Hospital: Tracy Hunts Down Ethan
Also, I expect to see Tracy go off searching for Ethan to demand answers. Our leaker told us Tracy’s leaving town soon, so that may be when she goes to track down Ethan after talking to Alexis. I suspect Ethan maybe stole Jerry’s DNA from that PCPD cold case file box. I don’t know if Jude was ever in Port Charles before.
Many soaps have done DNA test confusion with father and son DNA, especially when they’re both potential bio dads. That’s not the case here, but it could be a DNA confusion that Ethan pulled off. Or there could be something of Jude’s in a cold case file, because Jerry had something of his son’s with him when he was arrested at some point.
General Hospital could also just drop that whole line, because they’ve obviously changed this storyline since they hired Wil Traval. The bottom line is Tracy may get answers from Ethan. We know he’s really scared of Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel), who beat him up. I’m betting Ethan’s scared of Jude, who is much scarier. So, Tracy may come back with answers, but no Ethan.
GH Shocker: Serena’s Dirt on Jude
Also, if what our leaker said is true, then Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) also has dirt on Jude that she may offer for a price. Our leaker said Jude’s the guy who absconded with Serena’s inheritance. When she first came back, you may remember she told Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) she was swindled out of her inheritance by a cad.
And if that is true, it sounds like a Jerry Jacks type of thing to do. If Serena tells Lucy what she knows, her mom may try and leverage Serena’s information about Jude to get what they want, which is Deception not being part of ELQ.
General Hospital: Josslyn and the WSB
And one final thing I see happening is that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) may go to the WSB about Jude after Jason comes to see her and tells her that her cousin Jude just showed up. I’m guessing Joss is going to be Team Brook Lynn and Chase, because Phoebe’s got a wonderful home with loving parents as part of the Quartermaines.
And I’m sure that Jude is going to tell Joss that Phoebe is his daughter, that he’s sure they’re going to connect, and that he’s not going to give her up. And from there, Joss might tell Chief William Baines (Alimi Ballard) at the WSB that her cousin Jude, who she never knew about, is in town.
Baines may already have Jude on his radar because of JJ, and definitely because of his dad, Jerry, who’s on the run from the WSB. And in a brand-new interview that just dropped with Wil Traval, who plays Jude, he said the relationship between Joss and Jude will be fraught with tension. So that’s going to be messy.
GH: Jerry’s Dark Legacy in Port Charles
And in fact, this whole thing with Jude is very messy, and it’s going to impact the entire town, because his father, Jerry, terrorized Port Charles for years. And just Jude saying his father’s name is already causing a stir.
If you’re a longtime General Hospital watcher, you probably remember Jerry is the reason Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) died. Plus, Jason has had gunfights with Jerry, who shot Jason a couple of times. Jerry also plotted to kill Sonny. Jerry is why Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) was shot in the head when he was very young, and it put Sonny’s son into a coma for a while.
I mean, honestly, bringing in Jerry’s son is going to tick off so many people: the Cassadines, the Quartermaines, Sonny, Jason, Alexis, Laura Spencer (Genie Francis). But I’m absolutely here for it, because this storyline is already getting wild.
