Shannon Beador offered an update on the Tres Amigas and her relationship with Tamra Judge at last week’s Real Housewives of Orange County premiere party.
While also addressing the financial drama she faced amid season 20, sharing her thoughts on newbie Carmella Garcia, 44, and dishing on her favorite moments of the Bravo reality series, Shannon, 62, explained her status with Tamra, 58, and Vicki Gunvalson, 64, and admitted to having a firm boundary for Tamra.
“We’re all filming together,” Shannon said of herself and the Tres Amigas during an interview with Entertainment Tonight at last week’s event. “I can be in a room. I can share a laugh. I said that last year, but let’s just keep it there. And I’m not trying to be an a**hole about it. It’s just what’s best for me.”
Regarding her decision to speak out about her money struggles on the show, Shannon explained that she was “not putting [her] head in the sand anymore.”
“I just need to pay attention to things and, you know, Victoria loves to get involved with that, so she’s been very helpful, and I’m just trying to be smarter. At 62, I’m finally learning,” she noted.
Looking back on filming, Shannon said that “Tamra” was one of the biggest surprises of the season, and she added that Carmella was a “great add.”
“I usually don’t like new girls … I’m getting better, but I love Carmella,” she confirmed.
Going into her 12th season with the series, Shannon admitted to thinking she was “starting really late in the game” amid her season nine debut.
“I’m grateful to be a part of it. I really, really am,” she stated. “And I have home movies that I didn’t have to worry about taking of my kids, and Sophie turned 25, and the twins turned 22 last week, and they were little kids with high voices when we started.”
Also of her long-standing run, Shannon shared her best moments.
“I’m gonna say two Tres Amigas moments, one in Mexico when we fell in the airport. It started there, and the other will be when Vicki drove the golf cart into the restaurant in Tahiti, and then we ended up in the pool,” she revealed.
