Jennifer Aniston has embraced a popular wellness trend despite questioning its physical benefits. The actress said she enjoys cold plunges because of how they make her feel. She also shared how her approach to fitness has changed with age.
Jennifer Aniston says she loves cold plunges for how they make her feel afterward
Aniston included a cold plunge in her self-care day. Her routine would begin with a Pvolve class and continue with sauna time. She would then follow the heat with an icy plunge. The actress said she genuinely enjoys the experience despite its growing popularity. “I have enjoyed myself a cold plunge,” Aniston told People. “I personally love it. It feels great.”
She admitted learning breathwork techniques to handle the cold water. However, she remains less interested in proving specific physical benefits. “I don’t care if it doesn’t do squat to my body,” she said. “I love how it feels,” Aniston continued about the wellness treatment. She said the experience leaves her feeling noticeably different afterward. “You feel like a different person afterwards,” she added.
Her ideal self-care routine would also include time with close friends. Aniston said having girlfriends around would make the experience. She would then enjoy lunch before spending time at a spa. Fitness remains another important part of Aniston’s current routine. She has been a partner and investor in Pvolve since 2023. The actress recently launched a new 30-day program with the company.
Her approach to fitness has changed considerably over the years. Aniston once focused heavily on cardio while avoiding weight training. She recalled hearing that women should avoid lifting before they might “bulk up.”
These days, Aniston places greater emphasis on strength and bone health. “The muscles are what support our skeleton,” she explained. She believes strong muscles become increasingly important as people age.
For Aniston, Pvolve offers a low-impact approach centered on functional movement. Her ideal day combines exercise, recovery, relaxation, and friendship. The routine reflects her broader approach to aging and personal wellness.
