Jessi Draper is standing by Taylor Frankie Paul despite disagreements over her behavior. The SLOMW star said she does not condone everything Taylor does. However, their shared experiences have strengthened their friendship.
Jessi Draper says she understands Taylor’s pain while remaining critical of some of her actions
Jessi discussed her friendship with Taylor on the CHEERS! podcast. She admitted Taylor’s actions have caused tension within their group. Still, Jessi said she could support Taylor without approving of everything she does.
“The thing with this is I don’t condone everything Taylor does,” Jessi explained. She said some of Taylor’s actions made her question her choices. “I’m like, ‘That’s not OK,’” she added.
Jessi also recalled seeing some of Taylor’s social media posts. “She’s posted things at times where I’m like, ‘Delete that,’” she said. Jessi stressed that she could remain honest with Taylor.
Despite those concerns, Jessi said she understood Taylor’s struggles. “But at the same time I understand she’s going through a lot,” Jessi explained. “She’s in a lot of pain,” she added.
The two women also connected through difficult relationship experiences. Jessi recently went through a divorce from Jordan Ngatikaura. Taylor had also faced serious relationship struggles involving her ex, Dakota Mortensen.
Jessi said those shared experiences helped strengthen their friendship. “We kind of relate on certain things,” she explained. She said they bonded over their exes and similar experiences.
Taylor also supported Jessi throughout her divorce, which influenced Jessi’s approach. “She’s really been there for me through my divorce,” Jessi said. “I’ve wanted to be there for her, too,” she continued.
Jessi emphasized that friendship does not require complete agreement. “As a friend, you can be there for someone without fully co-signing everything they do,” she said. She also acknowledged the other women’s frustrations.
“It’s really hard to be in the middle,” Jessi admitted during the discussion. She said she understood both sides of the conflict. “It’s definitely been probably one of the hardest parts of all this for me.”
Jessi also rejected the idea that everyone must choose sides. “Not everybody needs to be friends with everyone,” she said. She believes relationships can exist independently within the group.
Her comments offer a clearer explanation of her position on Taylor’s behavior. Jessi can recognize Taylor’s struggles while maintaining personal boundaries. For now, she appears committed to supporting Taylor without abandoning her own perspective.
