Beloved Paramount+ rom-com just confirmed its expiration date. Creators and stars Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer explained why the upcoming third season will be the show’s last on Paramount+.
Colin From Accounts confirmed to end with Season 3, here’s why
Australian rom-com Colin From Accounts will conclude with its upcoming third season on Paramount+. Stars and co-creators Patrick Brammall and Harriet Dyer revealed the news in an Instagram video on Tuesday. Dyer confirmed that “this is our last season” before a montage of characters reacted with expletives.
Dyer explained the decision stems from creative instincts about the show’s natural endpoint. Brammall elaborated, saying, “It feels like the right time for these characters, for this world.” He added, “We don’t want to flog a dead horse,” and noted that “comedy comes in threes.”
Brammall also acknowledged fans who may feel let down by the announcement. “We’re sorry if you’re disappointed. We’re going to miss it terribly,” he said. Dyer chimed in, adding, “We love making TV for you guys.” Season 3 still lacks a premiere date, though a source indicates it is “coming soon.”
CBS Studios also posted about the final season on Instagram, drawing emotional reactions from fans. One comment read, “Not ready to say goodbye to Colin from Accounts, but very ready to soak up every second of Season 3.” The show originally aired on Australian network Binge before making its U.S. debut in November 2023.
Colin From Accounts follows Gordon and Ashley, two singles in Sydney whose lives intertwine after encountering a scruffy dog they name Colin. Brammall and Dyer, who are married in real life, lead the cast alongside Emma Harvie, Genevieve Hegney, Michael Logo, and Helen Thomson. The eight-episode first season preceded Season 2’s arrival in September 2024, and Paramount+ renewed the show for Season 3 last year.
