Welcome back, Below Deck Mediterranean fans! Last week, Joe learned that his mother had breast cancer, and for roughly 3 minutes after, he and Nathan made peace. That quickly ended, though, once Nathan jumped to conclusions about something Joe said on a crew night out. But now, Nathan has even bigger problems to deal with on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Episode 3.
What happened in Below Deck Mediterranean Season 11 Episode 3?
Our first love triangle forms, and a new second stew is crowned. This promotion, however, causes tension in the interior. But when a toxic guest joins and takes issues with Nathan, Nathan snaps, admitting that this might be his final charter of Season 11.
Boatmances and a somewhat healed bromance

Aesha reminds Nathan that Joe “just got the news about his mom. He’s probably in a weird place.” But Nathan doesn’t “give a f*ck.” And if he stays, he “might end up hitting” Joe, so he heads off to his nearby rental instead.
Joe finds Nathan “overreactive [and] very aggressive.” Then, Luke and Joy flirt, as do Kat and Cooper, and also Joe and Kayley. Kayley has the word “liability” tattooed on the inside of her lip. Joe loves her humor.
Nathan arrives at his rental and tells Gael Cameron about his night. She gets stressed. But tonight has also “been so mentally challenging” for Joe. He “got the worst news” ever, and now he has “Nathan on my back.”
Joe needs “a release from reality.” Luckily for him, “Kayley is a very good distraction.”
Nearby, Luke hugs Joy. Gen sees and gags in her talking head. Cooper clocks this situation. He tells Luke, “Gen and Cheffy are interested in you.”
Luke knows. He sees “something deeper” with Joy, though. Meanwhile, Kat wants “a houseful of cats.”
Luke asks Joy if they can “chill” in her cabin. She says no, because “Anything great is not easy to get.” But Kayley is not looking for anything long-term, so she heads upstairs and makes out with Joe. These two, at least, are on the same page.
In the morning, Nathan returns to the yacht. He does not want Joe talking about Gael, ever. “It won’t happen again,” Joe says.
Then, Nathan softens. “On a personal note, I’m sorry, honestly. I promise not to react like that again,” he says. Nathan also praises Joe for his work so far, leaving Joe “actually surprised.”
A second stew and a hotheaded charter guest

Johnny and Michelle Damon are coming back on board. They want a dining-in-the-dark experience and an escape room challenge. Kayley is “excited to go back and research” ideas for the latter, she says, after Gen admits she has done one of these before and “hated it.” Several beats later, Aesha makes Kayley her second stew.
Angry, Gen asks in her interview, “Are you f*cking serious?” Sadly for her, Aesha is.
“Gen might have more experience on paper. But Kayley has got this drive and this determination, and so much enthusiasm. She’s like a little Scrappy-Doo,” Aesha tells the camera.
Gen complains to Kat. But in the safety of her confessional, Kat admits that she “does not share” her opinion.
The guests board, one of whom, Josef, is already in a mood. While the deck team prepares to leave the dock, Nathan approaches and kindly asks the guests to step inside. Josef grumbles, “If you think I have to f*cking listen to you…” Uh oh.
Josef sits nearby while a few others linger around. Nathan approaches again and asks them to “go inside, please.” Josef immediately argues, “Bro, I’ve moved off the rail, and now you’re telling me to move in, like, any more instructions, like, do you want me to go in the downstairs center?” He further grumbles, “Bro, I’m gonna f*cking rip your face off.”
Josef continues b*tching about Nathan once inside. But Josef is also fighting with Adis, the woman he came aboard with. And Adis wants off the yacht, NOW. Captain Sandy drops anchor and obliges this poor woman’s request.
A charter guest confronts Nathan

Gen writes a flirty sticky note to Luke while Josef’s reign of terror continues. Josef wants to go on the jet ski, so he tells Joe he only had “one cocktail.” Nathan fact-checks him and learns otherwise, and he asks Josef to get off.
Josef confronts Nathan, saying, “Tell me I’m wrong.” Nathan does. Josef mumbles, “I’m done with this f*cking guy.”
“You can jump off the second floor of the boat, but you can’t ride a jet ski, according to my man,” Josef yells. “Please don’t be disrespectful to our bosun,” Aesha commands. “That’s the third time he’s like, put me in my spot,” Josef argues. “He’s doing his job,” Aesha explains.
Josef asks, “Why is he focusing on me?” Without missing a beat, Aesha says, “Because you’re being the problem for him.” But nope, Nathan is “being a problem for me,” Josef thinks. “Just be respectful,” Aesha sighs, and then she radios Captain Sandy to keep her in the know.
Captain Sandy talks to Josef. But during dinner, he disrespects multiple crew members, so Captain Sandy clocks him again. After dinner, Josef heads to the wheelhouse. Nathan gently turns him away.
Josef makes a call to his lawyer, trying to get another woman on board. Then, he returns to the wheelhouse. “You’re a bit of a prick,” he says, taking a seat next to Nathan while listing several things he hates about him. In his interview, Nathan cheekily admits, “I’m about to get fired.”
Below Deck Mediterranean continues Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Peacock.
