Berserk is gearing up for yet another iconic figure release from Japanese high-end collectible brand ART OF WAR, which exudes the grim and gruesome atmosphere of the series.
Per the manufacturer’s press release, ART OF WAR is releasing a new figure of Guts in Berserker armor titled the “Tentacle Ship 2026”. The premium collectible, which stands 52 centimeters tall, showcases the character sitting on top of a skull figurehead. Guts’ sword, the Dragon Slayer, and also his armor look bloodied, with stains visible on the figurehead, giving it a dark, gory look in line with the series’ themes.
ART OF WAR has capped the production of “Tentacle Ship 2026” at 77 units, with each of them being handcrafted by artists. Priced at 320,000 yen (approximately US$2,150), pre-orders for the figure will open through the manufacturer’s official website on Oct. 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. JST. The shipments are scheduled to roll out officially in April 2027.
ART OF WAR Reveals New Bloody Berserker Guts Figure from Fantasia Arc
The latest release recreates the scene from the Fantasia arc in the Berserk manga, where Guts and his party are attacked by a ghost ship commanded by Captain Bonebeard while on the way to Elfhelm aboard the Seahorse. The vessel reveals itself to be a single living entity, flooding the Seahorse’s deck with monstrous tentacles as the Sea God attempts to devour those aboard. To defeat his otherworldly and monstrous opponents, Guts entrusts himself to the Berserker Armor once again, leading to the moment which inspired “Tentacle Ship 2026” figure.
The collectible comes with interchangeable Berserker and Guts heads, and also an interchangeable chin guard part. In addition to these, a wolf mini figure and a crystal that goes into the eye of the skull figurehead will also be included in the bundle.
“Tentacle Ship 2026” is made entirely out of polystone, including Guts’ cape, and features the trademark painting techniques of the ART OF WAR figure line. The brand, which takes its name after Sun Tzu’s Art of War, has been manufacturing battle-themed collectibles, including ones from Berserk and other IPs, since the late 1990s, utilizing their authentic and intricate crafting techniques.
The manufacturer’s latest figure too boasts the extreme attention to detail that is common in their line of products. While the bloodied armor and blade evoke the dread of the battle against the Sea God, the frayed cape and its shading capture the atmosphere of the fight, which took place on the raging seas.
The design of the skull, which is essentially the bow of the ghost ship, stands out in particular because of how the creators have perfectly given it a weathered wooden look. Every detail on the skull is carefully sculpted and painted, including the barnacles clinging to it.
The Berserk manga, which is currently being worked on by Kouji Mori and Studio Gaga, is continuing its story with the Eastern Exile arc. While the narrative is progressing at a slow pace, fans were treated to a rare three-chapter release this year after a long wait.
Despite the passing of original author Kentaro Miura, Berserk has shown no signs of waning in popularity. The manga currently has 70 million copies in circulation, with the series’ English release handled by Dark Horse Comics. The latest compiled volume, Volume 43, was published in Japan in August 2025, with the English release set to roll out on Oct. 27 this year.
