The Bold and the Beautiful delivers Zende Forrester (Delon de Metz) feeling really frustrated. He feels mistreated at Forrester Creations. And Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) is basically telling Zende, “Tough luck. You’ve got to support R.J. Forrester because his and Electra’s youth line are going to save the family business.
But with Zende getting what could be the offer of a lifetime from Katie Logan (Heather Tom) soon, I suspect Zende may use it as a bargaining chip and that may infuriate Ridge.
Bold and the Beautiful: Zende Doesn’t Hold Back
So, right now we’re seeing Ridge acting like his hands are tied and he can’t do anything to help Zende. So, he is getting real frustrated and he’s not staying quiet. Zende is pushing back and he just told Ridge it’s unfair. He was offered lead designer on Hope for the Future and then that got ripped away from him because Ridge and Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) pushed Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) out the door because of the way they were treating her. I like that Zende called Ridge out on the part he played in Hope leaving, even though we can all agree she went about it in the wrong way.
So, Ridge wants to blame all their business issues on Logan and on Katie in particular, but it’s crazy. That’s like Dolce and Gabbana being threatened by a brand-new little boutique that just opened down the block. The Forresters act like they’ve never faced competition before and that they can’t hold their own against Katie’s little startup. And Zende also called Ridge out for his blatant nepotism when it comes to R.J. Forrester.
Ridge Dismisses Zende on B&B
It’s not fair that Zende has to take orders from R.J. when he has got half the experience and far less seniority and has not put in a fraction of the work and the time that Zende has at Forrester Creations. And we saw Ridge pretty much totally dismiss Zende’s frustrations and he was just blowing him off. Ridge is telling Zende that he’s needed. He’s family, but he needs to be a team player.
And basically, Ridge is offering no hope for Zende’s future. And he told Ridge his doubts. Zende does not think R.J. and Electra Forrester (Laneya Grace) are the right choice to lead the line, which is kind of interesting because Hope was telling Katie the challenges that Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) is struggling with are because of his lack of experience and that’s actually why Hope wants Zende over there at House of Logan. That way he can be a resource for Deke. So, Hope sees what Ridge does not see.

Meanwhile, back at Forrester Creations, Zende does not think working on R.J. and Electra’s line is a good career choice for him. He basically feels he’s been demoted and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) was making these clucking noises like, “Oh, you know, we feel bad for you, but it’s all Katie’s fault.” She and Ridge blame everything on Katie. Meanwhile, we’ve got Hope over at House of Logan really, really missing Zende.
Hope loved working with Zende. He and Hope had a wonderful professional relationship. They were also good friends. And she feels terrible that Zende is upset with her because she left Forrester Creations. And Hope knows she essentially left Zende high and dry.
Hope certainly did not do it to hurt him. But she just had to get out of Forrester Creations, out from under Steffy’s thumb after her delaying her line so many times in recent years and then shelving it again recently for Eric Forrester‘s (John McCook) couture line. So, Hope wants a chance to explain all of this to Zende. But so far, he still does not want to talk to Hope despite Melissa Dylan (Sydney Bullock) encouraging him.

But this week, Zende’s frustrations increase. So, I’m thinking R.J. is going to pull another bossy little nepo baby move that Ridge backs up and Zende’s at his limit. And by the end of this week, we’ve got Hope and Katie discussing exactly why they need Zende and reaffirming that she and Hope will do anything to get Zende over to House of Logan. So, I expect within the next few episodes, we’re going to see Katie and Hope getting the chance to talk to Zende and make a formal offer because the Logan ladies really want him to leave Forrester Creations where he is not appreciated.
He’s not respected and they want him to come work with Hope again. And I think Katie will offer Zende everything he’s always wanted, which is everything he deserves. I think Katie is going to make Zende an incredible offer. Basically, I think Katie is going to tell Zende, “You can write your own ticket at House of Logan. We know he wants to be lead designer with his own line. He does not want to take orders, especially from some punk.”

And I think Katie will say, “Great. Done and done.” And Zende could be offered complete creative freedom and authority to do whatever he wants, which is what Hope has there now. You know, no answering to anybody, especially not some bossy little nepo boy who should not be in charge of a line. So, I absolutely think Zende is going to seriously consider Katie’s offer, but I also do not think he’s going to be sneaky.
I do not think Zende is going to go about things the same way that Hope did. Not at all. I do not think Zende is going to go behind anybody’s back at Forrester Creations. And I do not think he will lie and say he’s taking a leave of absence like Hope did. I think Zende is going to be completely blunt and just tell Ridge all about it. So, I think Zende may tell Ridge that Katie just made him an incredible offer. I think Zende will say, “Katie offered me lead designer and to have my own line if I go over to House of Logan.”

And then Zende may ask Ridge, “What are you going to offer me to stay since you say I’m so important?” And I think Zende may push Ridge to set R.J. aside and let Zende run the youth line and R.J. should be answering to him because that’s how it should have been from the jump. And I could see Zende basically hitting Ridge with an ultimatum.
Give me what I deserve or I’ll go join Katie and Hope. But I do not think Ridge is going to cave to Zende’s demands. And I think if it goes this way and Zende tells him what Katie offered, I think Ridge will get mad. He may rage at Zende and Ridge may tell him, “Stop this. You need to be loyal to the Forresters.” And Ridge may rant that Zende even talking to Katie and Hope was a betrayal. And of course, Ridge thinks that Zende needs to be loyal to the Forresters, but they’re not being loyal to Zende.
Bold and the Beautiful: Ridge Goes Off on Zende
I think Ridge will blather to Zende. You know, Forresters and Spencers do not mix. And as you know, Ridge has got a short fuse. And I can see him lashing out at Zende. I can see Brooke joining in to rant about her sister Katie luring Forresters over to the dark side. So I think we may see that Ridge gets the chance to keep Zende at Forrester Creations, but Ridge blows it because he refuses to give Zende what he asked for.
These are things he deserves, things that Ridge gave to him and then took away from him and gave to Golden Boy R.J. unfairly. And from there, Ridge may threaten Zende. If you go to House of Logan, you are no longer a Forrester. But you know, Zende has a temper of his own. So, if Ridge says that, it could get explosive.
So, we’ll watch for what happens the end of this week and into next week. But, I absolutely expect that Katie makes Zende an offer he can’t refuse. And he goes to Ridge hoping to find a compromise, a win-win to stay at Forrester Creations. But then Ridge blows up and makes everything worse instead.
