Hey, Days of Our Lives fans. We have got early spoilers for next week, which starts October 26th, with Dominic Marino (Kyle Pryor) disrupting many lives in Salem. His arrival is locked in. We’ve got the debut date, and the actor is confirmed. Plus, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) is terrified when she’s held at gunpoint and has a near-death scare.
Also, the week of October 26th – 30th, we’ve got November sweeps kicking off on Thursday, October 29th, and we gear up for a spooky Salem Halloween. And as we always do on early edition day, we’re going to go over what is happening the rest of this week on Days of Our Lives, and then we get into what is coming next week. So, let’s talk about it.
Days of Our Lives: Alex Almost Busts Joy
Wednesday, October 21st, we’ve got Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson) almost busting Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins). She’s already irritated about Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) calling her out for her crush on Alex, and because Bonnie said it’ll never happen. And now Joy is doubling down on stealing Alex from Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). But Joy’s scheming might get the better of her if she gets sloppy and Alex walks in.
DOOL Spoilers: EJ Warns Dante
EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) gives Dante Vitali (Franco LoPresti) a warning. So EJ’s telling Dante he’d better not hurt Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney). But also, while EJ’s chatting with Dante at the Salem Inn, EJ’s fishing for info and says, “You must at least know their names,” and Dante says, “Afraid not.” And EJ calls him a liar.
So, I’m wondering if Sydney DiMera (Sidney Malakeh) tells EJ that Dante and Dominic were boarding school roommates, and that’s why EJ goes over there to confront him. And he might be asking for the names of Dominic’s parents, and Dante may say he never met them, he never talked about them, whatever. Sydney clearly doesn’t want to be caught in the middle and may give out all the info she has for transparency.
Days of Our Lives: Stephanie Gets an Offer from Philip
While talking to EJ, Stephanie gets an offer from Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier). Despite Alex’s doubts, Stephanie is certain Joy is faking paralysis. And if Stephanie tells Philip her theory, he may offer to spy on Joy, because Philip’s already suspicious. And he does think Joy wants to be with Alex.
He also thinks it’s odd that Joy didn’t call her parents, Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas) and Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo), or her sister, Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin), about her medical problems and her surgery. So, we could see Stephanie also asking Philip to search Joy’s room for muscle relaxers.
Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) has reason to be optimistic, and it comes from Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). Maybe this is just a positive prognosis after Rachel Black (Lorelei Olivia Mote)’s second surgery, that the infection is clearing. You know, Brady definitely doesn’t want Kristen around long term.
DOOL Spoilers: Chanel Prepares for Surgery
Thursday, October 22nd on Days of Our Lives, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) gets help from her husband, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman), as she prepares for her lumpectomy surgery. And if that procedure goes well, then Chanel is pretty much done with her cancer treatment. But Johnny has got other stress this week.
We also have Javi Hernandez (Jacob Martinez) telling Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) exactly how he feels. So it looks like Javi is going to admit to Leo that he still loves him, and they are going to be officially coupling up again.
EJ gets an invitation from Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews). I’m guessing it is to Lexie Carver (Nikki Crawford)’s celebration of life event at the Brady Pub. Despite Theo and Abe Carver (James Reynolds) really disliking EJ, they both know Lexie would want her brother there. Even though Lexie was devastated that she was dying again, she was thankful that EJ gave her more time with them.
Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols)’s investigation takes a surprising turn. He’s helping look into the George O’Halloran (Michael Rose) thing. Steve knows they need the laptop, so we’ll see what Steve finds out.
Days of Our Lives: Kayla Puts Joy to the Test
Then Friday, October 23rd on Days of Our Lives, we’ve got Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) putting Joy to the test. So, I wonder if this spoiler is literal. Kayla says she needs to do some follow-up lab work after Joy’s surgery. Except, instead of regular lab work, Kayla may really be testing Joy for muscle relaxers in her system, because that’s part of Stephanie’s theory on how Joy is faking it, even though Alex is dubious about the accusation. Stephanie is spot on.
Plus, Joy’s dad sent her a refill of the muscle relaxers to the Brady Pub. It looks like they fell out of the envelope when Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) accidentally moved it, and the pills dropped out. So, I’m guessing he’s going to find the bottle and may tell Kayla that Joy was sent pills at the pub. I’m sure Kayla could take a glance and easily identify them from their markings as muscle relaxers. And that may be part of why she is testing Joy.
Days Spoilers: Sarah and Xander in Serious Danger
Sarah and Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) are in serious danger. George is desperate to get his laptop now that EJ said he’s going to let George go down for everything. Sarah and Xander are in a lab, presumably at DiMera Pharma. So maybe Johnny tells them, “You can go in there and get the laptop. I’ll look the other way.” But George comes in as Sarah and Xander are about to abscond with the evidence. And George says, “Sorry, I can’t let you leave with that computer.” And he pulls a gun.
So it looks like Xander leaps into action, because he winds up with a gun in his hand, but he is all slumped over a lab table. Sarah checks on Xander, and she looks worried sick. So, we’ll see if he took a bullet for Sarah, and whether Xander shot George to save Sarah. I mean, if George dies, that will be like EJ won the criminal lottery, because then he can blame the whole mess on a dead guy. Either way, George is hosed. It’s the cemetery or Statesville for him.
Johnny calls 911 for an emergency on Friday, so he may hear the gunshot in the lab. Hopefully, it’s about Xander injuring George rather than something to do with Chanel.
Stephanie and Alex are together when they hear disturbing news. So, Roman may tell them about the pills that he found from the envelope addressed to Joy, or it could be an update from Kayla after she tests Joy. Honestly, I’m real excited to see the end of her scheme. And I’m hoping Alex gets full custody and Joy gets a ticket back to New York.
Dominic’s Debut and Halloween in Salem on DOOL
The week of October 26th – 30th is going to be big. Sweeps kicks off Thursday. As I said, I’m expecting Halloween action to start Thursday, and if not Thursday, definitely on Friday the 30th, and it carries over onto Monday, November 2nd. That’s when Dominic’s official start date is listed on Days of Our Lives.
However, a lot of times when they list a start date, they will actually introduce the character at the end of the prior day’s episode. So, watch for Kyle Prior, who’s the actor playing Dominic, to possibly show up on Friday, especially because, you know, it’s cliffhanger Friday. So, we may get a glimpse of him.
Dominic has a black mask in his hand in a new promo shot. So, it sounds like an homage to Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo)’s masquerade, presumably for Halloween. That way, we may get a glimpse of a guy in the black mask roaming around on Friday, watching people. And then Monday, maybe that’s when we see Dominic unmasked.
Sarah Terrified on Days
Xander’s close call scared Sarah, and it could be a turning point. George should be pushing up daisies or pushed into a jail cell this week. Kristen may approach Dominic offering allegiance and information, because she is slippery. We’ll also find out whether she plans to pay off Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) and let her go, or if Kristen’s going to just try again to actually off Sophia.
Mason Whitfield (Brandon Butler) heard Sophia’s voice in the park, and he recognized it, but she doesn’t know what Mason looks like, which puts her at a little bit of a disadvantage. So, I wonder if he outs Sophia as being alive and back in Salem.
Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) is really shaken by seeing the photo of her son Dominic, especially with Dante saying, “Oh, wow. Dominic kind of looks like you, Marlena.” I’m certain that Dante did exactly those things because Dominic told him to.
