Hey Days of our Lives fans, we have got Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) in grave danger because Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) gave him a tip about where to find EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel)’s secret storehouse of illegally imported items. Leo rushed over and found Gabby Chic counterfeit bags. But his reporting might get him in trouble.
Now we know that Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez) is desperate to find out who has been making fakes of her handbags. First, she accused Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) and Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), but Gabi quickly dropped that. Now all eyes are turning to EJ as the possible culprit behind this.
Already Rita Lesley (Maggie Carney) got Leo hauled into the Salem PD by calling in a fake tip saying he had stolen merch in his hotel room. That was all part of his investigative piece for the Salem Spectator on the counterfeit goods. So we’ve got Gabi and Leo and Philip and Gwen all working on this, and soon more people are involved.
Days of our Lives Spoilers: Leo Is Arrested and Gabi Vouches for Him
If you remember, Leo got money from Gabi so he could buy a bunch of the knockoff Gabby Chic bags from the dark web. Rita obviously knew that’s why she called the cops. Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) came for Leo and arrested him. Luckily, Gabi vouched for Leo, and he was released from police custody.
DOOL Spoilers: Johnny, Sydney, Chad and Theo Study the Shipping Documents
Now somebody, possibly Rita, dropped off DiMera shipping documents that showed irregularities, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) looked at them, and he couldn’t figure it out. But Sydney DiMera (Sydney Malakeh) caught on right away to some discrepancies in the container weights. Now Chad DiMera (Conner Floyd) and Theo Carver (Tyler Joseph Andrews) were also brought into the matter. Chad talked to Leo about the counterfeit bag this week.
It seems like everybody’s opinions are converging. They agree EJ is the likely culprit in the fake bag scheme since his name is all over those shipping documents. Sydney told Johnny that cargo containers can have smuggled or counterfeit goods added after they are weighed at the port.
Theo and Chad have vowed to help Johnny sort things out. They want to get hard evidence before taking the info to police commissioner Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu).
Leo Ignores Warnings and Finds the Pier 4 Warehouse on Days of our Lives
Meanwhile, Leo’s been digging for information on primary suspect EJ for a while, despite warnings from Jada and Javi Hernandez (Jacob Martinez). Jada told Leo to leave the investigating to the Salem PD. Of course, Javi’s worried about Leo’s safety because EJ is a bad man.
The conversation with Chad is what led Leo to go pick Gwen’s brain for warehouse info she might remember from when she was EJ’s co-conspirator. Gwen, sure enough, remembered a warehouse on Pier 4 EJ used for nefarious shipments, like resurrection subjects stored in human-sized person pods.
Leo put on some fishing gear to be in disguise to go to the warehouse, because it had been falsely labeled Becky’s Bait Shop. Gwen warned him not to go over there, but Leo hit the jackpot. He found a bunch of boxes of knockoff Gabi designs in that cargo container.
Then Leo also picked a lock on a case and found a huge pile of cash on Days of our Lives. But somebody knew that Leo was there and locked him into the cargo container, so now he’s trapped. He may not have cell service to call the cops or Javi or Gwen or anybody.
Spoilers Suggest Leo Is Trapped and Javi Races to the Docks on DOOL
Soon Leo is in real danger. For a minute there it looks like Javi’s boyfriend might be dead and headed for the morgue. In the big Days of our Lives fall and winter promo, things look life and death bad for Leo.
We’ll see a distraught Javi down at the docks responding to a 911 call. Looks like other paramedics are there and he’s working to revive an unresponsive and very pale Leo. He literally looks near death. Javi is checking his pulse and urging Leo to just breathe.
Who Attacked Leo Stark? EJ’s Security or Rita
The question is who attacked him. Was it EJ? Was it Rita now that she’s back in Salem? Did one person lock Leo in the container and then somebody else showed up and hurt him?
I’m guessing, with EJ using that place for shady storage, that he’s probably got some sort of surveillance on the bait shop. It could be roving DiMera security who spotted Leo in there and locked him in the container while they called EJ to ask what to do about him.
Rita May Be Setting Up EJ for Dominic Marino on Days
It could be Rita who attacks Leo, since she’s the one I suspect left the sketchy shipping logs for Johnny to find on his door. That was the first step. At this point Rita seems to be setting up EJ, likely to benefit Dominic Marino (Kyle Pryor), who is her real boss.
If Rita is laying the groundwork for EJ to be arrested to get him out of Dominic’s way, then attacking Leo could be another part of the plan. It would guarantee EJ some quality time behind bars and winding up in Statesville Prison.
Now, clearly, Leo is in the right place at the wrong time because somebody does him serious harm. Javi sure seems like he thinks Leo might be dead. Maybe somebody else calls 911, or maybe Leo gets a call out before he’s knocked out. However it goes, Javi does find him and is desperate to save Leo.
Days of Our Lives: Gwen Could Find Leo Before It’s Too Late
We could even see Gwen deciding to go check on her best friend Leo if he’s texting and she’s not answering. She can make sure he doesn’t get into trouble. Gwen may find Leo and call for help.
Now, according to the promo, things look really dire for Leo. I do suspect this life-or-death scene happens next week. The big question is can Javi save him, or will Leo Stark be killed off?
DOOL Spoilers: Why Leo Will Survive November Sweeps
Well, I do not actually think it’s the end for Greg Rikaart’s character. With November sweeps underway, though, I’m not surprised we’re getting more life-or-death drama. We just had George O’Halloran’s (Michael Rose) death. Xander was also shot. So as bad as this looks for Leo, I wouldn’t worry too much about him.
Javi is going to pull Leo back from the brink of death. But Javi nearly losing Leo may be why Javi soon proposes to Leo, as confirmed in official Days of our Lives spoilers. They are headed for another holiday wedding. Watch the full video on YouTube.
Plus, there’s another scene in the big fall winter promo where Leo rushes up to warn Xander that the Chicago police are coming to Salem to arrest him for murder. Obviously, Leo survives this ordeal so that he can give that warning to Xander. So, I do think this is just peak November sweeps drama for the fans.
Fans Look Back at Leo’s Con Artist Past on DOOL
Speaking of the fans, I know there’s some who are a little excited about the prospect of Leo pushing up daisies. Many viewers are torn on him since Greg Rikaart first debuted as Leo. He came to Salem as a con artist. And de worked for Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel). He was targeting Sonny Kiriakis (Zach Tinker) and the family business and fortune.
Leo also looked really bad for getting involved with married Craig Wesley (Kevin Spirtas). If you remember, Leo stole Craig from Nancy Wesley (Patrika Darbo). Then they were going to get married but drag queen Jackie Cox (Darius Rose) showed up to reveal that Leo Stark was in a green card marriage with them. Since his sketchier con artist days, Leo has grown on a lot of fans.
He’s also grown on people in Salem like Chad and Gabi and Xander and Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). Even Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Arianna Horton (Vico Escorcia) have gotten soft on Leo, even though he tormented Sonny and Will Horton (Chandler Massey) at first. So, watch for Leo Stark’s brush with death coming soon and find out whether EJ is behind the attack or if it’s Rita or somebody else entirely.
