Jason is an award-winning journalist whose writing career dates back to when he developed the ability to use a crayon. He, most notably, worked previously as a “professional fan,” as he likes to call it, at CinemaBlend, for which he wrote about anything and everything under the pop culture umbrella… especially Batman. His passion for the art of cinema began even earlier, stemming from repeat viewings of The Wizard of Oz.
This initially led him to pursue a career in filmmaking — and even work briefly in the industry as an extra in the straight-to-video family film, Alice Upside Down — before deciding that his talents would be better served discussing and showing appreciation for the various forms of entertainment he is passionate about.
Few comic book characters have endured an evolutionary journey quite on par with Wonder Woman. While she has always been an inspirational female role model since her 1941 debut, Diana of Themyscira’s motivations and role in the DC Universe have been redefined and reinterpreted countless times throughout the decades.
However, the latest iteration of the Amazonian warrior is unlike anything fans have seen before. The new Wonder Woman makes her debut in today’s release of DC’s Next Level: One Shot #1.
Wonder Woman’s “Evil” Clone Emerges
Next Level: One Shot #1 introduces a new version of Wonder Woman who is not the real Diana of Themyscira, but a clone created by Cadmus. In fact, she is a member of an unsettling iteration of the Suicide Squad that also includes bizarre clones, officially called “Drones,” of Batman and Superman.
