All these years later, Batman: The Animated Series is just as popular as ever. The legacy it left behind can’t be understated, and it’s nice to see the series is still getting some love in 2026. Just recently, Enemies of Gotham City was released, allowing fans to take on the roles of villains in a fight throughout Gotham City against the Dark Knight. If that weren’t enough, there’s also Knight on the Town, another official release from DC and Upper Deck.
Knight on the Town is an expansion for the Enemies of Gotham City game. It’s an Upper Deck Store exclusive that’s currently priced at $24.99. And while you’ll need the base game in order to play Knight on the Town, the expansion adds some cool new elements, including a variety of new Batman villains like the Riddler and Killer Croc.
Control The Riddler, Killer Croc, & More Batman Villains
Enemies of Gotham City lets you play as one of twelve infamous Batman villains as you go against your friends to take control of Gotham. Using cards and miniatures, you can make money, cause chaos, and take on the Caped Crusader himself. Knight on the Town gives you access to even more cards and villains, alongside some new heroes from the GCPD. The official description reads:
Place deadly riddles across Gotham City as The Riddler and put the hurt on the other villains as Killer Croc. Single handedly take on your rivals as one of the two new Lone Villains by unleashing vengeance as The Phantasm or concocting secret formulas as Man-Bat!
Knight on the Town is meant for ages 14 and up, and 2–5 players. Getting through the expansion will take around 30–60 minutes, and the box includes:
- 55 Cards
- 4 Villain Boards
- 1 Rulesheet
As a reminder, you’ll need the Enemies of Gotham City base game in order to play Knight on the Town.
Fans of Batman: The Animated Series will love Knight on the Town and its larger base game. The artwork is inspired by the show, and there are plenty of fun Easter eggs for fans to spot. While it may not be a new season of the show, it’s still cool to see Batman: The Animated Series returning in some capacity.
If you don’t own the Enemies of Gotham City base game yet, it’s also available from the Upper Deck Store and a variety of retailers. The MSRP is $149.99 and it includes everything you need to get started. The Riddler was such a memorable part of Batman: The Animated Series, so it’s cool to see him being a focus in Knight on the Town now.
