Dungeon Crawler Carl Officially Rips Off Absolute Batman In New Sequel Book

Dungeon Crawler Carl is officially channeling his inner Absolute Batman, and fans will absolutely love it.

Vault Comics has officially unveiled the full cover gallery for the upcoming second printing of Dungeon Crawler Carl Special Edition #0, including two that pull straight from Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta’s Absolute Batman. While the main cover by Nathan Gooden recreates Dragotta’s main cover for Absolute Batman #1, Gooden’s C variant recreates Dragotta’s cover for the second printing of Absolute Batman #1, as well.

Released this summer, Dungeon Crawler Carl Special Edition #0 marked the first chapter in Vault Comics’ ongoing graphic novel series adaptation of Matt Dinniman’s instantly iconic lit-RPG series of the same name. Dungeon Crawler Carl Has Become A Pop Culture Sensation

Dungeon Crawler Carl drops readers into the middle of a post-apocalyptic version of the world they already know, specifically one that has been ravaged by alien invaders and remade into the set of the universe’s most popular (and lethal) reality series. Dungeon Crawler Carl revolves around the titular Carl, an otherwise ordinary man who becomes an unlikely symbol of hope and freedom as he tears his way through the myriad dungeons that lie before him alongside his ex-girlfriend’s cat, the ever-loyal Princess Donut.

Since its release, Dungeon Crawler Carl has established a fervent and dedicated fan base to call its own, and has sold millions of copies worldwide. The series is currently heading for its very own live-action adaptation courtesy of Peacock and Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door Productions, as confirmed by author and creator Dinniman himself in June.
