On their “That’s Awesome” podcast, Steve Burton and Bradford Anderson talked about an upcoming recast on General Hospital. “So, there’s a guy on the show right now, and you guys will see him,” Burton said. The actor who plays Jason continued, “He may have aired. I’m not sure, but I had some scenes with him, and I can’t say what it is yet.” However, Burton asked the recast whether he was aware of what was happening, since his decision-making in the scene is tied to past events.
“He’s been an actor for a long, long time,” Burton revealed. He added that the newcomer has been “on some primetime shows.” Burton continued, “He’s done this a long time, right? So I said, ‘Do you mind if I just tell you what this is, who this is, why they’re doing it, and what the involvement for me is?’ And he goes, ‘No, I would love to.”
Burton’s statements have raised a new wave of excitement among the fans. They started speculating about the recast on social media, with the majority feeling it’s Jax. “Interesting words by Steve. A recast is coming who could it be? Jax..Nicholas? Who’s your pick?” a user named @TracyTea wrote on X. “Jerry Jax is my guess, thanks for posting this!” another user commented, and the poster agreed.
One more commented, “If they are recasting Jax, the only choice is Charles Mesure! I know he was og Brennan but who cares! He’d make a perfect Jasper Jacks!” A third fan said, “Probably going to be Jax recasted because we keep hearing him mentioned.” Another commented, “Probably Jax because Jason really wouldn’t have scenes with Nicholas.”
