General Hospital delivers Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) ready to file for divorce and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) getting close to somebody new, there are couples about to break up, make up, and shake up. Today we’re going to talk about the couple swaps that are coming.
General Hospital: Willow and Chase’s Reunion
First off, let’s talk about Chase and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). They are speeding towards Splitsville. Chase does not see how his marriage to Brook Lynn can survive because the trust is broken. Chase just can’t get past Brook Lynn hiding that she was the second driver in Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper)’s crash and then framing Willow Tait Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) for that. So, now Chase is filing for legal separation, although his lawyer, Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard), told Chase, “Let’s just skip straight to divorce.”
And now with Lulu Spencer‘s (Alexa Havins Bruening) article blowing up Willow’s life, Chase is still siding with Willow, and he blames Brook Lynn, Michael, and Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) for the smear piece. So, Chase and Brook Lynn splitting leads to a possible reunion for Chase and Willow. And we know that the congresswoman wants Chase back, and with him promising to defend Willow, it could happen soon. We know that Lulu is soon sued for defamation. So Chase may encourage Willow to do that and stick by her side.
Hudson’s Role in the Drama on GH
As for BLQ, she’s been spending more time with Hudson Tucker (Troy Lennon Appel) lately. He is helping out with baby Phoebe, listening as Brook Lynn opens up about her marriage issues with Chase. And Hudson may get closer to BLQ because he’s Phoebe’s biological father and wants to be around his daughter.
So, Hudson may stay close to Brook Lynn, and he may even try to be her rebound. That way he can be near his daughter while Hudson ponders if he wants a legal battle to get custody of Phoebe. And if BLQ finds out Hudson is Phoebe’s bio dad, then Brook Lynn might stick with him to cut Chase out of Phoebe’s life altogether.
General Hospital: Michael and Jordan Get Closer
Next, let’s talk about Michael. Originally, it looked like Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) was going to be Michael’s next love interest. That started after Jacinda Bracken (Paige Herschell) left town. We had Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) assigning Serena to honeypot Michael to get hold of Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms)’s shares of Deception.
That plot now seems abandoned. And Tanisha Harper, who plays Jordan, recently confirmed in an interview that Frank Valentini and the powers that be at General Hospital seemed to like the idea of Michael with Jordan and their chemistry, testing them as a romantic pair. With Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) in Pentonville, Jordan’s getting close to Michael.
Michael by Jordan’s Side on GH
Also, he and Jordan bonded over her dealing with the scarring on her face from the accident, because Michael can relate. It wasn’t that long ago that he was horribly scarred from the firebombing at Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)’s penthouse and had to have reconstructive surgery for his own scars.
Michael is even going with Jordan to Germany for her surgery. And she and Michael may get closer as she recovers. Plus, her sister Monet just signed Curtis as her client. So, Monet may get Curtis out of prison. And with Jordan closer to Michael, it’s all very soapy.
Tanisha Harper confirmed that Jordan is going to be tempted by Michael. And I can see a world where Monet begins trying to seduce Curtis. She already targeted him as a client. And Monet may try and seduce him away from Jordan, especially if Curtis is upset that Jordan’s getting closer to Michael.
General Hospital: Jason and Serena’s Future
Next, let’s talk about Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). He and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) just broke up, and there’s a new guy hitting Port Charles soon, another Australian that she is supposed to spark with. And we saw what looks like the first hints of Jason’s next romance with somebody surprising. Serena was thrown into Jason’s path with the whole falcon nest thing.
And the writing seems to be on the wall when they had Serena hanging upside down and Jason rescued her and then helped Serena relocate the falcon’s nest from the Quartermaine mansion roof, the one that Tracy had wanted to see destroyed. So, it looks like a chemistry test for Jason and Serena is also underway.
Dante and Elizabeth’s Spark on GH
Now, let’s talk about Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). We have seen her growing connection to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) despite her being with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst). We know Liz and Dante are strictly friends, at least on her side, because Dante has feelings for Liz. And Ric’s been keeping a really close eye on this. Ric feels threatened, but he doesn’t want to act out because Liz won’t tolerate jealous antics.
So, I expect that things are going to get rocky between Ric and Liz over this Sonny stuff, because Ric’s 100% on Team Sonny and Liz seems to believe Sonny is guilty. And Dante is certain that his dad’s behind the attack on Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) and Curtis. So that’s just one more thing for Dante and Liz to bond over. It feels like, at this point, a romance between Dante and Liz is inevitable.
General Hospital: Ric and Alexis Reunion
Plus, fans seem really interested in a reunion between Ric and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn). We have a behind-the-scenes source, and our leakers said that the Ric and Alexis reunion is in the works. So we’ll see if that works out. Plus, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) recently noticed a little spark, a little connection between Alexis and Ric. And Cody mentioned it to Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos), who was horrified. She told Cody, “No way.”
The idea was upsetting to Molly because her parents were so toxic in the past. They’ve both grown and changed a lot and are getting along. Ric’s in a pretty good place with Alexis now, despite the messy kidnapping and ball gag incident, but Molly’s worried about it.
The Carly, Valentin, Anna Triangle on GH
Last, let’s talk about Carly Corinthos Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), because of course we’ve got Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) in the mix. An official fall spoiler for General Hospital said Carly and Valentin will face obstacles, and the biggest one is Anna.
And this one is a tricky recoupling possibility because there are a lot of fans who love Anna with Valentin. All of those Vanna shippers. But now that Carly has been with Valentin, they are also a wildly popular couple. And honestly, I absolutely love them together. This is my favorite pairing that Carly has had in quite a while.
General Hospital: Valentin’s Pull to Anna
But the connection that Anna and Valentin have was so strong. And Anna just admitted to Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) that she still has feelings for Valentin. Anna said she’ll always love him. And we know that Valentin will always care very deeply for Anna. We saw fairly recently that Valentin was willing to run off with Anna when she was scared the WSB was going to come after her because she had tried to kill Britt. So Valentin was ready to leave Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke), leave Carly, and head out of Port Charles with Anna. That’s a big red flag.
And now Carly is encouraging Anna to let Valentin be part of her therapy sessions, because Carly thinks it will actually help Anna a lot. Also, Carly knows that helping Anna will help Valentin. And Carly truly understands Anna and Valentin’s connection because Carly has one that’s very similar with Jason. Even though Carly and Jason had a romantic past that was a long time ago, they’re best friends. And of course, Carly would do absolutely anything for Jason. So, she gets it.
General Hospital: Tragedy Ahead for Anna
However, Carly may regret being so understanding and gracious about Anna and Valentin, because they truly might reconnect and re-spark. And Anna may realize she cannot get over Valentin, and he may realize the same, because he’s loved Anna since he was in his twenties.
Plus, with Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers)’s death reveal coming soon on General Hospital, that could send Anna into a grief spiral, and Valentin may be the one to pull Anna out of it. And that’s when they spark, despite his connection to Carly.
I expect we’re going to see a couple of love triangles forming and several breakups happening and new couples rising from the ashes, especially as we head into November sweeps later this month. We’ll see what happens.
