IndieWire has received two Daytime Emmy Nominations for the site’s Craft Roundtables series, highlighting the publication’s emerging work in the digital video space.
The Daytime Emmys nominations, announced on July 14, recognize artistic and technical achievements in the American daytime television space as well as online streaming content.
For the Craft Roundtables’ inaugural year, IndieWire received nominations in the Outstanding Directing for a Daytime Studio Non-Fiction Series as well as the Outstanding Editing for a Daytime Studio Program. The site was nominated in these categories alongside shows from traditional linear television outlets, including “The Drew Barrymore Show,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” “Today,” and “Extra.”
The nominated series was dedicated to the Editing Roundtable and included editors Kirk Baxter (“A House of Dynamite”), Affonso Goncalves (“Hamnet”), Michael P. Shawver (“Sinners”), Andy Jurgensen (“One Battle After Another”), Pamela Martin (“Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere”), Saar Klein (“Dead Man’s Wire”), and Luke Lynch (“BLKNWS: Terms & Conditions”).
It was directed by IndieWire executive producer Mary Pelloni and edited by IndieWire video producer Trevor Wallace. The series’ wxecutive producers are PMC senior VP Jerry Ruiz, IndieWire publisher James Israel, and IndieWire Editor-in-Chief Dana Harris-Bridson.
IndieWire’s Craft Roundtables series premiered in December 2025, and aired on PBS SoCal this January. Hosted by IndieWire features writer Jim Hemphill, the Craft Roundtables feature conversations between editors, cinematographers, casting directors, production designers, and more craftspeople working on some of the biggest films of the last year. Season 2 of the series, which focuses on TV artists, premiered this June.
The cinematography roundtable featured Adolpho Veloso (“Train Dreams”), Malik Hassan Sayeed (“After the Hunt”), Michael Bauman (“One Battle After Another”), and William Rexer (“The Testament of Ann Lee”).
The production design roundtable featured conversations with Cara Brower (“Hedda”), Sam Bader (“The Testament of Ann Lee”), Alexandra Schaller (“Train Dreams”), Scott Chambliss (“Kiss of the Spider Woman”), and Dylan Cole and Ben Procter (“Avatar: Fire & Ash”).
And finally, the casting roundtable was anchored by casting directors Nina Gold (“Jay Kelly”), Margery Simkin (“Avatar: Fire & Ash”), and Jessica Ronane (“After the Hunt”).
The Daytime Emmy Awards nominations come on the heels of IndieWire winning Best Website at this June’s SoCal Journalism Awards, the second year in a row the website received the honor. The website received six nominations from the awards body, which recognizes excellence in arts and entertainment journalism.
