Jackass: Best and Last is living up to its name.
It all began in 2000, when the Jackass franchise, with its reality-comedy, DIY stunts, and hidden-camera antics, debuted on MTV. The hilarious series was created by Johnny Knoxville, Spike Jonze, and Jeff Tremaine and evolved from skate culture into a pop culture phenomenon that reached every corner of the world. The franchise is no stranger to breaking records, and with its last installment, it did just that.
The team at Jackass certainly knows how to go out in style, and their last addition to the franchise, Jackass: Best and Last, has broken a record for its highest Rotten Tomatoes rating. Best and Last achieved a near-perfect rating of 93% from critics. This is the highest score for the franchise, with the lowest still being the first entry in 2002 with a shocking 49% rating.
Critics stated that Best and Last is a “victory lap” for the iconic and wild group, and “gives new meaning to the term greatest hits.” The movie reunites new and old friends as everyone returns to where it all began with more outrageous stunts, as well as archival footage that may have never seen the light of day.

Some original cast members will also be featured in the latest movie, including Bam Margera, who is shown through archival footage throughout Jackass: Best and Last. Despite the long-running feud, Margera’s appearance is a welcome one as the iconic franchise finishes with the main characters reunited in some way.
More to come…
