Kim Zolciak’s Teen Son Arrested After Female Classmate Accuses Him of Sexual Assault
Kim Zolciak’s 15-year-old son, Kroy Biermann Jr., known as “KJ,” was arrested this week in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving a female classmate, according to court documents.
Alpharetta police arrested KJ on Monday on charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery stemming from an alleged April 23 incident inside a changing area at Life Time Fitness. According to Fulton County Juvenile Court documents, the alleged victim told investigators that she was walking with the teenage football player when he began flirting with her and making jokes.
She alleged that KJ then entered one of the changing rooms and said, “hey, look at this,” prompting her to go inside. Once she entered the room, KJ allegedly began grabbing parts of her body and kissing her, according to the documents.
The girl claimed that she repeatedly told him “no” and accused him of forcing oral sex and digitally penetrating her.
“She finally managed to get away from him, and he pulled up his pants and left,” the court documents state. Authorities also allege that KJ did not scan into the gym on the day of the alleged incident, though he was reportedly captured on security footage inside the facility. The alleged victim was taken to a hospital the following day, April 24, for a sexual assault examination. According to the documents, no male DNA was detected in her mouth or vagina at the time of the examination.
KJ is being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 1.
Following news of his arrest, Kim issued a statement strongly defending her son and denying the allegations against him. “The allegations being made against my son are nothing short of reckless and deeply troubling. He categorically denies ever being involved with this woman or engaging in the conduct she has alleged,” Zolciak said in part.
KJ’s attorney, Jason Sheffield, also denied the allegations and maintained his client’s innocence.
“He is not only presumed innocent, but is in fact, innocent,” Sheffield said. “I will work tirelessly to demonstrate to the District Attorney’s office the mean spirited nature of these false allegations and to bring a close to this matter as quickly as possible.” Just days after news of her son’s arrest became public, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star was photographed stepping out for dinner in Palm Beach, Florida.
Kim, 48, was seen leaving a restaurant Wednesday evening alongside her 14-year-old son, Kash, and her boyfriend, Kyle Mowitz.
The reality star wore a fitted black dress with strappy stiletto heels, while both Kash and Kyle Mowitz were also dressed in black. At one point outside the restaurant, Kim Zolciak appeared to adjust Kash’s collar as the pair spoke. She was also photographed having what appeared to be a serious conversation on her cellphone.
The outing came as the family continues to face intense public attention surrounding the allegations against KJ, which he and his attorney have denied.
