Actress Kristen Bell revealed she has a habit that her husband of 13 years, Dax Shepard, doesn’t love.
During an October 2026 interview with Cosmopolitan, alongside her Nobody Wants This co-star Adam Brody, Bell was asked to share, “What’s something you do in the house that drives your partner crazy?” Bell, who plays Joanne on Nobody Wants This, replied that Shepard isn’t fond of her habit of leaving the cabinet doors open.
“I leave the cabinets open because I might go back in there someday and I can’t remember to close them, but I do try very hard,” said Bell.
Brody then revealed he has a habit that also annoys his wife, actress Leighton Meester.
“I’ve been known to leave some beard trimmings in the sink. It’s not appreciated. I think it’s charming,” quipped Brody.
Kristen Bell Shared Insight Into Her Relationship With Dax Shepard
Bell shared more insight into her relationship with Shepard, the father of her two daughters, Lincoln, 13, and Delta, 11, during an October 2026 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show. She said she believed it’s important to love oneself before entering into a relationship.
“What I don’t like about the way that Dax and I are represented is that anyone might take away from it like, ‘Oh, I just need to find my perfect puzzle piece.’ I think that’s actually kind of harmful to dating. I think the thing that people should focus on is, ‘Do I love myself enough in order to be loved by someone else?'” said Bell, who began dating Shepard in 2007.
In addition, Bell suggested that she and Shepard view each other as members of the same team, even in arguments.
“I think also it’s really important to remember every single moment that it is not you against me in any argument or disagreement or day in your life. It is us against the world. If you like pour good energy and hard work into it, it’s just like going to the gym. You’ll get results,” said the Frozen star.
