Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, one of Crunchyroll’s biggest isekai anime series of all time, is finally back with a brand-new first look at Season 3 arriving this summer. Ahead of its July 6 premiere, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 unleashed its latest trailer on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
The new Season 3 trailer picks up where Rudeus Greyrat’s reincarnated life left off in Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2, which ran for 13 episodes from July 3, 2023, to Sept. 25, 2023. Rudeus has come to terms with the shocking loss of his father, willing to move on and find peace in his life with his two new wives, Sylphiette and Roxy Migurdia. Of course, things are never that simple.
The latest Season 3 trailer for Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is available to view below. Crunchyroll will stream the new season worldwide when it drops this summer.
Mushoku Tensei Reveals Rudeus’ Latest Journey With His Wives in New Season 3 Trailer
Crunchyroll’s official description of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation reads, “When a 34-year-old underachiever gets run over by a truck, his story doesn’t end there. Reincarnated as an infant in a new world, Rudy will seize every opportunity to live the life he’s always wanted.”
“Armed with new friends, some freshly acquired magical abilities, and the courage to do the things he’s always dreamed of, he’s embarking on an epic adventure—with all of his past experience intact!”
Based on the light novel by Rifujin na Magonote, Mushoku Tensei received praise for its more realistic depiction of an isekai hero struggling and learning to better himself in another world, when compared to its counterparts. However, the series has also faced criticism for its controversial portrayal of Rudeus’ past life as a 34-year-old Japanese NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training).
“I’m happy when I receive praise, sad when I receive criticism, and hurt when I receive slander or abuse, but no matter what people say, I’ll write what I want to write, so nothing will change,” Magonote said in March 2025. “I write what I like, how I like it, so don’t get that wrong. Love comes first, people second. You guys are always last. Sorry.”
Unfortunately, in December 2025, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation was blamed for inspiring a terrorist attack at a Taiwan subway station, where a 27-year-old assailant stabbed bystanders in a busy underground shopping district, resulting in three deaths and 11 injuries. The attacker, identified as Chang Wen, died during pursuit by the Taiwanese police force. Wen’s interest in isekai titles, such as Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, led the media to blame the 2021 anime for the heinous attacks.
Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 will premiere July 3, 2026, as part of Crunchyroll’s summer lineup. Previous seasons are also available on Netflix.
