Clark girls run the world!

There’s something magical about the AUC (Atlanta University Center) where you’ll find Clark Atlanta University, known as the ideal destination for aspiring tastemakers, movemakers, and hitmakers with dreams of thriving in the entertainment industry.
Formed with the merging of Atlanta University (established in 1865) and Clark College (established in 1869) in 1988, CAU (as Atlanta University) made history as the first HBCU in the southern United States.
Today, with over 4,000 students, CAU is the largest of the four institutions (CAU, Morehouse College, Spelman College, and Morehouse School of Medicine) that make up the Atlanta University Center Consortium.
Thriving at the forefront of HBCU innovation, CAU was recently awarded a 5-year, $9.78 million grant from the U.S. Department of War’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities/Minority-Serving Institutions Program to expand the University’s STEM research capacity.
The SPARC in STEM initiative will boost research capacity in Chemistry, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Mathematics and Physics while creating new opportunities for faculty and student researchers.
“This significant investment strengthens Clark Atlanta University’s research enterprise while expanding opportunities for our faculty and students in some of the nation’s most important emerging technology fields,” said George T. French Jr., Ph.D., President of Clark Atlanta University. “It advances our commitment to preparing the next generation of scientists, researchers and innovators.”
Notable CAU alumni include Mase, Kenya Barris, Eva Marcille, DJ Drama AND DJ Don Cannon, Bobby V, Pinky Cole, Jacque Reid, Bomani Jones, Bryan-Michael Cox, and more.
