Despite Taylor Swift‘s recent wedding to long-time partner Travis Kelce being a contained affair, a wedding invite leak seems to have threatened the secrecy of the event. A recent report claimed the “Bad Blood” singer was left fuming after learning that the official invitation to her nuptials had been published on the internet without her permission.
Taylor Swift felt ‘betrayed’ after wedding guest leaked her invite, sources say
According to an insider privy to the wedding of Swift and Kelce, the pop icon did not react kindly after an anonymous guest leaked her wedding invite on social media.
RadarOnline reports that Swift’s team had issued a legal takedown notice to remove all traces of the invite from the internet. In response, Instagram deleted Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s official wedding invitation. The resultant copyright complaint confirmed the fan-favorite musician as the owner of the image’s rights.
“Taylor wasn’t about to let it circulate online without permission,” an insider remarked. “The wedding was deeply personal, and her team acted immediately.” Another source expanded upon Swift’s reaction to the ordeal, stating, “Taylor feels completely betrayed. She trusted her guests to respect her privacy.”
The celebrity couple tied the knot on July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Notably, the pair has yet to release any official photos from their nuptials that featured a slew of high-profile guests.
Despite the hiccups, Travis Kelce seems to have thoroughly enjoyed his wedding to Taylor Swift. “It was a fun offseason, man. The wedding was the best night of my life,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end noted in a recent press conference, as per Marca. “I appreciate everybody who came out and celebrated and had fun with us. It was a crazy night, and it was full of a lot of celebrations.”
