The Wardogs beta is going to be the first opportunity for the public to get their hands on Bulkhead’s upcoming FPS game, because previous playtests have been invite-only. This one, however, is open to everyone, provided you do one specific thing first: details on how to get access can be found down below.
With more Wardogs news coming during the recently announced FPS Games Show, you’re missing out if you don’t get involved with the beta. Here are the details on when the Wardogs beta starts, ends, and how to play.

How to play in the Wardogs beta
There’s one very simple way to guarantee access to the Wardogs beta: pre-order it on Steam. It costs $39.99, which is unusually steep for an early access game, but the description of the game has a pre-purchase offer that claims if you don’t enjoy the beta, you’re free to request a refund.
While you can request access to the Wardogs playtest without pre-ordering the game, Bulkhead CEO Joe Brammer explained on X that “pre-orders have blown past expectations, so we won’t be that aggressive on adding players from the beta signup pool until later into the weekend.” If you want to ensure you can play, pre-ordering is highly recommended.
