Hey, General Hospital fans. With Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) finding out she’s got not just a superfan, but a stalker, she is on high alert. Given some recent red flags waving on General Hospital, we are now wondering whether Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) might be back from the dead and the one who is stalking Trina.
Today, we’re going to share the red flags that suggest Spencer could be back in Port Charles with an agenda. So, let’s dive in.
General Hospital: Fans Still Miss Spencer
So, first off, we’ve got to say that there are a lot of fans that really, really miss Spencer. We figured, yeah, he’ll be back someday, because General Hospital had no body recovered, and his and Esme Prince‘s (Avery Kristen Pohl) deaths were clearly set up to facilitate future returns.
But if Spencer is really back, I doubt it’s going to be Nicholas Chavez also back in the role. His career just zoomed and took off after he left the role of Spencer. He has worked constantly in prime time, in movies, and in hit streaming series. So, if indeed the love of Trina’s life is back, fans would be thrilled, but they would have to adjust to it being a new Spencer.
And if he is the one who is insanely devoted to Trina right now, sending flowers and setting up that website, I think it’s also safe to say this is not the same Spencer that we knew and loved, not just physically, but in his character.
General Hospital: Spencer’s Presumed Death
Now, if you recall, he’s presumed dead, but his body was never found. That was two and a half years ago, when Trina was going over to Paris. She was going to study art at the Sorbonne, and Spencer went with her. So they were on a yacht on the Seine when psycho Esme snuck on board, and she was there to kill Trina.
And in a heroic final act, Spencer stopped Esme. But they both went overboard and were presumed dead. That was January 31st, 2024. So yeah, Spencer has been gone quite a while. But we’ve always expected that Trina’s first love was going to return someday. Because he is a legacy character on General Hospital. He’s got ties to the Spencers, the Corinthos family, and the Cassadines.
General Hospital: Trina Name-Drops Spencer
All right, so now let’s talk about these red flags hinting at a possible Spencer return. Maybe you noticed them, too. First, there is the fact that Trina recently name-dropped Spencer. That was when she told Emma Scorpio Drake (Braedyn Bruner) about Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) wanting to move in together. Because Trina said she’s just not ready to move in with Kai yet. But she was at that point with Spencer.
So, anytime somebody who is off the canvas gets mentioned, there is always a storyline reason for it, one way or another. And there was no reason for Trina to bring up Spencer. She could have just told Emma she’s not ready to move in with Kai and left it there. But instead we had Trina invoking Spencer’s name.
The Stalker’s Creepy Shrine on GH
So, another red flag is that with her music career with Giovanni Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) taking off, there is clearly somebody totally obsessed with Trina. They have created a super creepy fan website full of photos, and a lot of the photos have people cut out of them, like Gio and Kai. And the stalker also has a physical shrine in his house. Plus, the stalker has sent Trina flowers twice, and the notes said they were from her biggest fan.
And we know it wasn’t Kai. It also doesn’t seem to have been Quinn (Jequan Jackson). But what’s even more interesting is that the stalker said he can’t wait until he and Trina are face to face. So to me, that sounds a little like somebody who has history.
And Emma has done some digging and found out both sets of flowers came from somebody named Alan Smith. And of course, it’s highly doubtful that’s the person’s real name. If it was Spencer, it might be about jealousy, since Trina’s moved on with Kai. And remember, Spencer has a history of being jealous and doing reckless, dangerous things.
Plus, there’s a chance Spencer could come back dark. Because he’s always had a little darkness in him. He grew out of it. But it could be worse now, after Spencer nearly died because of Esme. So Spencer could have suffered head trauma in his near-death experience, and Trina’s ex could be dark and obsessive, which would be pretty interesting.
General Hospital: Who Bought Wyndemere?
The next red flag is that somebody just purchased Wyndemere from the police auction as one of Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota)’s assets. And we know Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) was determined to buy Wyndemere. Because it was his home with Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke), and she absolutely loves it. So Valentin was set to buy at the auction. But Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) just came and told him that somebody else scooped it up at the last minute. So Valentin is suspicious.
And again, that’s a huge red flag. Because Wyndemere was Spencer’s boyhood home and where he lived almost all of his life. And he loves Spoon Island as much as Valentin does. Plus, if Spencer is coming back from the dead, he’s going to need somewhere to hide out until he’s ready to show himself. And he hates Valentin. And of course, he would not want him to have Wyndemere just for that reason. So, Trina’s great love has been gone almost three years, and we don’t know what Spencer’s been through.
Britt’s Trips to Paris on GH
And that brings us to another red flag. Remember when Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was working for Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes)? When she was working at the Five Poppies, Britt was allowed limited travel, and that was how Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) spotted her. She was either coming to or from Paris, France.
And at the time, we had wondered if Britt was there visiting Spencer. Because she adored him. And Britt would definitely keep this secret. It could be one of those things where he fell overboard, and, you know, maybe he was in a coma, and somehow she found him, or he contacted her when he woke up. So, like Britt herself, her beloved Spencer might also be back from the dead.
General Hospital: Is Kai in Danger?
Another red flag is a rumor that Kai is supposedly harmed by Trina’s stalker, possibly killed. And if Spencer’s gone dark, he and Kai might have a confrontation. Now, if Kai died, I would assume Spencer wasn’t out for blood, and it was an accident rather than outright murder.
But Trina just told Kai there’s no rush moving in together. They have plenty of time. And that might have been Trina’s words foreshadowing coming events. Because Kai might have far less time than he and Trina realize. But if it goes down like that, and Spencer kills Kai, Trina would be horrified. Although she’ll always love Spencer, she loves Kai, and Trina would be devastated if he died.
Laura and Ace Coming Home on GH?
Another red flag is that Spencer’s grandmother, Laura Spencer (Genie Francis), is going to be back from Ireland at some point soon, and she might come back with Spencer’s little brother, Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay). And with Sidwell locked up and no longer a threat, you know, Laura can bring the kiddo home and not worry about his safety.
I don’t expect Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) is going to be back with Laura. Because Jon Lindstrom left, and he’s over on Beyond the Gates now. So, if Laura came back with Ace, that’s another sign that Spencer could be back, since he adores Ace, and they’d be putting the whole little family back together with Laura, too.
So honestly, I really hope that Spencer’s back, and him being Trina’s stalker would be a wild, wicked, very soapy return, especially if it happens in November sweeps, which kicks off next week.
