The follow up to 2025’s ‘Talkin To The Trees‘, features seven tracks five of which are previously unreleased along with two unreleased versions of ‘Casting Me Away From You’ and ‘I’ll Love You Forever’.
It is set to land on September 18 via Reprise Records and can be pre-ordered here.
Young has also shared the soothing lengthy title track to his new album, which you can listen to below. On it, Young sings of the life he’s experienced, with lines such as, “I dream a way of living / A way of sharing what we find / A way of walking slowly through the smokey leaves of time.”
He’d previously revealed that he was channelling anger at the Trump administration into the new album.
“Politics today is sad and depressing for me. I can’t do it anymore. I can go out and demonstrate my feelings about it. We have the worst president in the history of our country. Every day a bad TV show produced by DJT is what we get,” he wrote at the time.
In spite of this, he said music was bringing him more joy. “Now, thankfully, once again, I’m in the studio recording a new album with the Chrome Hearts. I love the songs and the feelings of life and love. Music is. So far we have eight new songs. They make me feel,” he added.
This remains to be the case on the new album with a press release stating: “In times when lives are tested, this is music that gathers the past into a hopefulness for the future.

“It allows those hearing the inner feelings of what gives Neil Young himself the belief needed to face our obstacles in their deepest divisions. 2026 faces us in ways society hasn’t been faced before. It is not a time to look away.”
Earlier this year, he shared a song criticising Trump called ‘Big Crime’, where he hit out at the Republican party leader, and he also told his fans that Trump was “out of control” and “we need a real president”.
More recently, Young cancelled his entire UK and European tour and said “this is not the time” to be playing shows.
He later provided some clarity on his reasons for axing the tour. Replying to a fan who was checking “everything is OK”, Young wrote: “All is good Michael. Just needed a break. Listening to my body.”
