The latest Netflix thriller adapted from Harlan Coben’s novel has already become the platform’s biggest original debut of the year. Packed with shocking revelations, high-stakes suspense, and a seemingly impossible mystery at its center, the series has quickly become one of the streaming giant’s biggest success stories of 2026.
I Will Find You scores Netflix’s biggest debut in 2026
The newest Netflix thriller, I Will Find You, has arrived with an impressive launch, taking the No. 1 position on Netflix’s English-language television chart. Based on the platform’s reported viewing numbers, the series drew 24 million views during its debut window. This made the miniseries the biggest original Netflix series premiere of 2026.
Based on Harlan Coben’s 2023 novel of the same name, I Will Find You continues the author’s remarkably successful relationship with Netflix. Over the past several years, the streaming service has adapted numerous Coben stories into hit mystery dramas. Previous adaptations of Coben’s work, such as Fool Me Once, Missing You, The Stranger, Stay Close, Safe, Run Away, Hold Tight, and The Woods, have all attracted significant audiences worldwide.
The series follows David Burroughs, portrayed by Sam Worthington, a man serving a life sentence for the murder of his young son. Although convicted years earlier, David has always maintained his innocence. His world changes dramatically when his sister-in-law, Rachel, played by Britt Lower, presents evidence suggesting that the child everyone believed was dead may actually still be alive.
That revelation transforms I Will Find You from a conventional crime story into a gripping chase thriller. Determined to uncover the truth, David embarks on a dangerous mission that forces him to challenge everything he thought he knew about his family’s tragedy. As he investigates further, he uncovers a complicated network of secrets, deception, and hidden motives.
All episodes of I Will Find You are currently available to stream on Netflix.
