Years after collaborating with Zayn Malik on the song “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” for Dakota Johnson’s movie, “Fifty Shades Darker,” Taylor Swift teamed up with the “Madame Web” actress for the new MV. Throughout the video, Swift and Johnson wore matching outfits to play directly into the psychological themes. In the pool scenes, they twinned in identical black one-piece swimsuits.
The Adelaide One Piece Swimsuit by the Los Angeles-based brand STAUD featured a square neckline. Crafted in jet-black stretch fabric, the swimsuit’s wide, flat tank straps anchored a contoured silhouette. Mimicking classic corsetry, the piece was designed with vertical corset-like seam paneling down the torso to create a waist-framing structure. It ended with a flattering high-cut leg.
The styling was intentionally minimal to let the clean architecture of the STAUD piece remain the focal point. They both sported only identical diamond rings on their fingers, symbolizing the characters’ shared fates. Further, they wore their hair damp and textured, with soft bangs framing their faces, enhancing the moody poolside aesthetic. Their makeup was also fresh and natural, with a copper-tinted lip.
The scene began with both stars diving into the pool and swimming side by side in opposite directions. A few seconds later, Swift’s character held back Johnson’s character’s hair while the latter seemed to throw up. The next scene captured the “Materialists” actress walking along a sweeping, curved hallway with massive concrete walls. For this segment, both stars dressed in matching The Row pieces head-to-toe, featuring sweaters, moccasin shoes, and pleated pants.
