After his breakout role in Severance and buzzy appearance in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, booked and busy Emmy-winner Tramell Tillman is haunting Johnny Depp as the Ghost of Christmas Present in upcoming A Christmas Carol reimagining, Ebenezer, humbugging into theaters Nov. 13.
One of Hollywood’s brightest emerging stars, Tillman (who we can’t wait to see as a ghost) teased Depp’s unique approach to playing iconic shilling-pincher, Ebenezer Scrooge, in an exclusive clip you can enjoy below:
“A big part of what he brings to the character is a sense of him having a finite amount of time to be in the story — that his time is limited to be with Scrooge,” said director Ti West (the X trilogy) of Tillman in an interview with EW.
“His perspective is a little bit more like, ‘I don’t really care if you learn your lessons because I deal with people like you all the time.’ He’s almost in a Groundhog Day.”

In Ebenezer, Johnny Depp is the deliciously unpleasant Ebenezer Scrooge in a thrilling reimagining of the most iconic ghost story of all time.

On one unforgettable Christmas Eve, Ebenezer collides with his past, present, and future on a supernatural journey that will decide his ultimate fate. If you think you know his story, think again.
