Hey, The Young and the Restless fans. We’ve got exciting new spoilers for next week, as Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) has a shocking realization, and Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) has a whole baby tirade that’s triggered by Adam Newman (Mark Grossman)’s new fixation on his ex-fiancée and her new baby girl, Ruby. It looks like really good stuff ahead.
We also have Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) getting a stunning offer from Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), and a new couple sparks drama. We have got the latest The Young and the Restless spoilers for the week of November 2nd, which is, by the way, the first full week of November sweeps.
The Young and the Restless: Nate and Stephanie Go Public
All right, so first let’s talk about that new couple. Of course, viewers know that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is involved with Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox). But now they’re taking their relationship out for a public test drive. By the end of this week, Nate is out with Stephanie at Society. They are sitting with Abby and Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James).
They’re all celebrating Nate’s return to medicine. Stephanie says the whole staff is really thrilled to have Nate back at the hospital. And Nate credits Stephanie, saying, “None of this would be happening without Stephanie.” Then Nate talks about having to ease back into being a surgeon, because he has to get recertified and take these other steps.
And then Nate kisses Stephanie’s hand, and that gets a big reaction from everybody at the table, most notably Abby. And she not so tactfully brings up the fact that Stephanie and Nate’s mom were really close friends for many years. So, with Abby’s foot firmly planted in her mouth, people change the subject very quickly.
After Stephanie and Nate take off, Abby wants to know why Lily and Devon didn’t warn her that Stephanie and Nate were a thing. And they all talk about whether it’s a conflict of interest for Stephanie and Nate to be dating, since Stephanie is Nate’s boss now.
Y&R Spoilers: A New Doctor Stirs the Pot
That definitely comes up this week, because The Young and the Restless spoilers have Nate and Stephanie hugging at the hospital when a new character, Dr. Andrew Bishop (Fareed Ward), walks in. He says to Nate, “I heard rumors you were back.” And then Dr. Bishop says, “Looks like you wasted no time settling back in.”
And that’s when Nate gives Dr. Bishop the stink eye. So, while I love Stephanie and Nate together, it does seem like their new romance could be a recipe for disaster when it comes to their professional lives at the hospital. Mixing business and pleasure can definitely get messy.
Young and Restless: Devon Blesses Lily and Cane
Also, at the end of this week, Lily says she misses Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). And then Devon shocks Lily when he says he realized life’s too short to hold on to grudges, and if Lily and Cane love each other, then Devon’s cool with it. Lily, of course, is thrilled, and they hug it out.
Speaking of Cane, he calls Lily and tells her that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is doing well. He says the surgery was a success, and so Cane is coming home. Lily, of course, is ecstatic.
Y&R Spoilers: Diane’s Proposition for Lily
And in next week’s The Young and the Restless spoilers, Cane is back in town, and he rolls up on Lily having coffee with Diane at Crimson Lights. And Cane says he didn’t realize that Lily and Diane were coffee pals. Lily says it is a first. And The Young and the Restless spoilers say that Diane wanted to meet with Lily to present her with a once-in-a-lifetime proposition.
So, I wonder what Diane’s offering. Lily seems pretty happy about it. It may be business-related, something to do with Jabot collaborating with Winters or something. It’s always interesting to me to see characters that don’t interact that much getting a storyline together.
And of course, Lily’s not a fan of Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), so she and Diane may have a lot to talk about. And since Cane is close to the Abbotts again, Diane won’t be hassling Lily about her romance with the guy.
Young and the Restless: Devon and Lily’s Beyond the Gates Crossover
However, Cane’s not going to get too much time with Lily this week, because in other The Young and the Restless spoilers for Wednesday the 4th, we’re going to have Devon and Lily out of Genoa City, and they are popping up in the DMV for a crossover on Beyond the Gates.
This is Bryton James’s third appearance on Beyond the Gates. But it is Christel Khalil’s first. Devon’s there because one of the leads, Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) is recording an album on Devon’s label. And both Anita and her husband, Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), are going to talk to Lily and Devon, because they were really close to their dad, Neil Winters.
The last time they had a Beyond the Gates crossover, it was big. There was Victor, Diane, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Devon, and Abby. There was a fundraiser struck by a tornado. It was pretty cool.
Y&R Spoilers: Chelsea’s Baby Tirade
Now, let’s talk babies and bombshells. Next week on The Young and the Restless, Chelsea is at Society talking to Abby. You may recall Adam asked Chelsea a few months ago about them having another baby. At the time, she didn’t seem enthused about Adam asking that. And now, of course, he’s focused on Ruby. So, we could see Adam bring it up again.
Chelsea’s having a little tirade, and she’s venting to Abby. And we’re going to see Chelsea saying that she would be the one carrying the child and dealing with all of the insomnia, the indigestion, and the nausea, not Adam. But Chelsea also knows that Adam is really struggling since he delivered Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)’s baby girl, Ruby. It’s brought up a lot of emotions for Adam about baby Ava, the little girl he and Sally lost to childbirth complications.
The Young and the Restless: Nick Worries About Adam
So, at the end of this week, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is also worried about Adam, by the way. Adam told Nick that he feels this strong connection to Ruby, and Adam says he feels like he has to protect her. Plus, Adam feels like Sally is kind of lost as a new mom, because she couldn’t burp Ruby.
Then Nick says Ruby’s in good hands. But Adam doesn’t think so, because Billy left Sally and Ruby to take off and go to London. And then Nick reminds Adam that Billy had to go because his mom, Jill, was dying. Nick is the voice of reason, advising Adam, “Don’t go looking for trouble. Just let this go.” But we all know that’s not going to happen. So, we’ll see if that’s why Adam is talking babies to Chelsea, and why she’s having a little freak-out next week.

Young and Restless Shocker: Could Abby Be Pregnant?
And as Chelsea is griping about all these pregnancy symptoms that she would deal with, it suddenly strikes Abby, who says, “Oh my god, could I be pregnant?” It would be something of a medical miracle if she was pregnant with Devon’s baby, because Abby’s not supposed to be able to carry a pregnancy.
If you remember, back when she was married to Stitch Rayburn, Abby was pregnant with their kid, and his evil son, Max, strung up a trip wire, and Abby fell down all the stairs at the GCAC.
She miscarried and then was told that she couldn’t carry a baby. That was why Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) was Abby and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd)’s surrogate. And if you remember, they used Devon’s sperm, since Chance was also infertile.
The Young and the Restless: Roxanne’s Return Could Spell Trouble
So, it would be a huge thing for Abby to be pregnant with Devon’s child, and also maybe a little troubling if Abby’s pregnant, because there’s some recent recasting news that could affect her marriage to Devon. We are getting a recast Roxanne Barrington (Tetona Jackson) during November sweeps. This is the first hire by new head writers Jamie Giddens and Dan O’Connor, and it was Tatyana Ali in the role before, and now they have cast Tetona Jackson.
This is big, since Roxanne used to be with Devon years ago, but he cheated on her, like he tends to do. So maybe they brought her in for Devon to cheat on Abby with Roxanne. And if Abby is pregnant, that would be really bad timing for Devon to be seeing his ex, Roxanne, back in Genoa City. Also, the new writers’ material starts airing the following week, starting Wednesday, November 11th, right when sweeps is picking up speed.
