Margaret Josephs has been added to the cast of E!’s The Golden Life, along with Candace Bushnell.
As former cast members of The Real Housewives of New York City, including Ramona Singer, 69, Sonja Morgan, 62, Luann de Lesseps, 61, Kelly Bensimon, 58, and Dorinda Medley, 61, prepare to head to the Hamptons to film additional episodes for season one, the 59-year-old Real Housewives of New Jersey alum and the 67-year-old creator of Sex and the City are set to join in on the fun.
“What’s better than summer in the Hamptons… joining the cast of the GOLDEN LIFE with these ICONIC women!” Margaret wrote in her July 16 post, which included a screenshot of a Deadline article regarding the news.
“Thrilled to be a part of this!” she added.
After Margaret’s post was shared, she was met with comments from Sonja, who said, “Woo hoo Marge,” Luann, who posted three red heart emojis, and Andy Cohen, 58, who featured a series of clapping emojis.
E! also shared news of Margaret and Candace’s additions to The Golden Life on Instagram.
“After Palm Beach, we’re headed to the Hamptons!” it shared. “E! is officially picking up additional episodes of The Golden Life with Candace Bushnell and Margaret Josephs joining the show.”
Meanwhile, in a video with the cast, Ramona declared, “The rumors are true!”
“Life just got a little more golden,” Sonja teased.
“And, we have some good friends joining us,” Dorinda added, as Margaret revealed, “I’m joining the Golden Life on E,” and Candace confirmed, “Along with a good friend, yours truly.”
“We’re all headed to the Hamptons!” Kelly proclaimed.
“See you soon, only on E!” Luann concluded.
The Golden Life was first confirmed by E! in February.
“Bound by decades of shared history, fallouts and friendship, this fan-favorite group of New Yorkers are starting fresh together in the Sunshine State,” the network shared at the time. “In this new ‘golden’ era of life, the longtime friends are thriving in and around Palm Beach with fabulous second homes and a bustling social scene. With their signature humor and non-stop hijinks, the series will follow the group as they navigate dating, family, and career milestones.”
Although Jill Zarin, 62, was initially expected to have a role on the show, she was fired that same month after making racist comments about Bad Bunny‘s Super Bowl halftime show.
The first half of The Golden Life premieres on E! this fall.
