Hey, Days of Our Lives fans. Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) seems to be at death’s door right now, but he will wake up this week, and when he does, Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) will be there by his side, ready to rekindle their relationship.
However, our leaker said Xander stuns Sarah with some sort of reunion ultimatum. So, let’s get into the latest rumor from our inside source about Xander and Sarah.
Days of Our Lives: Sarah Saves Xander’s Life
So, right now, Sarah took life-preserving measures after George O’Halloran (Michael Rose) shot Xander. He was aiming at Sarah, who had his laptop, and now Xander’s fighting for his life. And as for George, the former head of DiMera Pharmaceuticals, he was mortally wounded, and EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) found him bleeding out. EJ didn’t even try to save him. He walked away from George in disgust, and then George dropped dead.
Thankfully, Sarah kept Xander alive until the EMTs arrived. And it was, of course, Javi Hernandez (Jacob Martinez) on the scene, and he got to work, ran an IV, and then transported Xander to the hospital, with Sarah staying with him and begging Xander not to leave her. Not only that, but Sarah managed to hold onto the laptop that should clear her name and give the Salem police what they need for the Coriseal investigation.
But for a few days this week, it is touch-and-go with Xander. However, spoilers confirm he makes a full recovery, since he is awake and making a statement to Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) by Thursday, which is the first day of November sweeps.
Strings Attached to the Reunion on DOOL
So, our leaker told us a while back that a big life event would bring Xander and Sarah back together. That’s happening now. The big life event was Xander getting shot. But then our inside source gave us an update recently and said there were going to be strings attached to Xander getting back with Sarah. And when Xander sets some terms and conditions for their reunion, Sarah is up for the challenge.
If you remember, recently Xander was in that therapy session with Dr. Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall). Of course, this is Xander’s ongoing therapy for all the anger management issues, because Sarah told Xander it was the last straw after she found out he was the one who beat his brother, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier), to a pulp.
Back then, Sarah demanded that Xander work on his anger issues or he couldn’t be around their daughter. Long story short, Sarah filed for divorce, and Xander didn’t contest it. And from there, he put in a lot of work to earn the right to have unsupervised visits with their daughter, Victoria Horton-Kiriakis.
Days of Our Lives: Xander Opens Up to Marlena
So during Xander’s latest therapy session with Marlena, he told her about these mixed signals that he feels Sarah is sending. And Marlena asked if Xander would go back to Sarah if he had the chance. And Xander basically told Marlena yes, he would, but said there are some issues to address on her side.
Xander said Sarah needs to take accountability for her own actions that have caused problems for them. And Xander said these needed to be addressed before they could have any healthy relationship beyond being co-parents. Xander basically doesn’t see a path forward unless Sarah is also going to work on herself.
What Our Leaker Predicted for DOOL
So we’ve known for about a year, thanks to our leaker, that supercouple Xander and Sarah would reunite. Our leaker even told me that Xander would have a fling with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) months before that happened, and it manifested. Also, they told us way before it happened that Sarah was going to have this slow-burn relationship with Brady Black (Eric Martsolf).
And our trusty leaker also said that it was going to take a while for Xander and Sarah to restart their romance, but by the holidays, around Christmas or New Year’s, we’ll see them together, going strong and getting remarried. But this week, Xander gives Sarah some caveats when he wakes up.
Days of Our Lives: Brady Sees the Writing on the Wall
So, before that happens this week, Brady and Sarah have a candid talk after Brady heard Sarah crying and telling an unconscious Xander that she still loved him and begging him to wake up and come back to her. So Brady already sees the writing on the wall, but Sarah’s going to be honest about her feelings for Xander, and that’s going to be the end of her and Brady.
And by the end of this week, Xander and Sarah have a deeply moving reunion. But according to our leaker, that doesn’t mean Xander jumps back into sharing a bed with Sarah. Well, he’s shot right now, so he’s probably not up to it. Or that they go right back to being fully reunited. I expect it’s a heartfelt conversation about what they both want.
It sounds like Xander may shock Sarah when he tells her he’d love to get back together, but first, she needs to hold herself accountable and work on her trust issues and other issues. And from what it sounds like, Sarah is going to be shocked, but the leaker said she is up to Xander’s challenge.
Sarah’s Not So Perfect Past on DOOL
I think it’s great that Sarah gets a little pushback, because Xander has done so much work on himself. And let’s be real, Sarah is far from perfect. Many Days of Our Lives fans complain about her goody-two-shoes attitude and feel like she always takes the moral high ground over Xander. Sarah seems to have forgotten that she is capable of doing awful things, too.
Let’s walk down memory lane for just a second. First, Sarah lied about Philip’s forged Titan letter for months. She knew that letter wasn’t really from the late Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), and it robbed Xander of half of his inheritance. Sarah deliberately kept Xander in the dark in an effort to micromanage his temper and avoid a violent reaction.
Sarah wasn’t wrong, because Xander did blow up about Philip scamming him out of half of Victor’s company. And yeah, Xander beat his brother to a pulp, gravely injuring Philip. That was the fight that destroyed Sarah’s marriage to Xander.
And then Sarah treated Xander like a ticking time bomb waiting to explode, rather than as a partner. Sarah chose deception and control over honest communication with Xander. And this reinforced his past trauma, because he felt like Sarah and others who’ve been close to him just lied to him and completely disregarded Xander’s feelings. That’s not how a healthy couple is supposed to treat each other.

Days of Our Lives: The Victoria Paternity Lie
And there’s more. Before that, remember, Sarah lied about Victoria’s paternity. Sarah claimed that Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) was her baby’s father. And Sarah and Rex even got married to keep the ruse going that he was Victoria’s bio dad. Sarah didn’t want Xander to know that they had made a baby together. And if Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) hadn’t exposed the truth, Xander might never have learned that Victoria was his kid. And that was super low on Sarah’s part.
Days of Our Lives viewers have pointed out time and again that Sarah is a hypocrite. She demands full honesty from Xander when Sarah hasn’t always been truthful, especially with Xander. And circling back to the Kiriakis brothers, Sarah pressed Xander to tell her the truth about beating up Philip. And then, when Sarah found out Xander did kick his brother’s butt, Sarah labeled Xander pure evil and tossed him aside.
Sarah then had the audacity to sue for full custody of Victoria, even though Xander’s never shown any ill will towards their daughter and certainly has never harmed her. So basically, Sarah asked Xander to tell her the truth, and then he did what she asked, and she punished him.
Days of Our Lives: Sarah’s Turn to Do the Work
So these breaches of trust damaged Sarah’s relationship with Xander, and now he has spent the better part of a year working very diligently on himself and making great strides. However, Sarah has never been held accountable for her lies and deception towards Xander, and he knows it.
So, I expect that he’s going to tell Sarah, “I want to be with you, but you need to do some work on yourself before we’re officially back on.” And I think she’s going to acknowledge it and say, “Okay, I’m up for that.”
