‘MobLand’s Harrigan Family Tree & How Everyone’s Related to Conrad

The return of Guy Ritchie’s incredible show MobLand means it’s time to refamiliarize yourself with the Harrigan family. In 2025, Ritchie’s gripping gangster TV show kept us enthralled from the very start, and many of us have been waiting to see what will happen next after the explosive MobLand Season 1 ending. The second installment of the highly anticipated crime thriller will see the fallout of several gripping events, as well as reunite audiences with Tom Hardy as Harry Da Souza, the Harrigan family’s fixer.

But who exactly are the Harrigans? Well, it all begins with Pierce Brosnan as the leader of the Harrigan family and its criminal enterprise, Conrad. MobLand‘s Season 2 release schedule has already kicked off, with Episode 1 already available to stream on Paramount+ today, September 18. However, before you throw yourself back into the gritty world of MobLand, take the time to remind yourself of the array of characters in the Harrigan family.

Conrad Harrigan

Pierce Brosnan’s Conrad is the heart of MobLand. The patriarch of the family, Conrad is the genius mastermind behind the Harrigan criminal enterprise, as well as a major puppet master in London’s seedy underworld. On the surface, Conrad is cool and steady-headed, never making a move without a carefully thought-out plan behind it. However, he is also known to be unpredictable and fly off the handle at times. Thankfully, his matriarch, Maeve, often serves as Conrad’s sounding board, and the pair are even more dangerous together than apart.

Conrad has three children: Brendan, Kevin, and Seraphina, and he is also the grandfather to Kevin and Bella’s son, Eddie (or is he?). Conrad garners a lot of authority over the whole family, but especially his children, who all answer directly to him. However, Conrad’s erraticness, paired with several family secrets, including the truth surrounding Seraphina’s origins, creates a lot of tension for the whole Harrigan brood.

Maeve Harrigan

Helen Mirren’s Maeve Harrigan is the sneaky and calculating wife of Conrad, mother to Kevin and Brendan, and stepmother to Seraphina. Like a lot of “mob boss wife” characters in gangster TV shows such as MobLand, Maeve has a lot more control behind the scenes than the rest of the family truly realizes. She has a talent for manipulating Conrad especially, and she does so without blinking an eye, often with a drink in her hand, too.

Maeve’s relationship with Seraphina is a particularly strenuous one. From the jump, Maeve doesn’t attempt to keep her feelings about the product of her husband’s affair bottled away, and she voices her disdain for Seraphina whenever the opportunity arises. Maeve frequently seems like she’s playing a game different from everyone else, and the Harrigans’ enemies should probably fear her more than Conrad.

Brendan Harrigan

The eldest of Conrad’s sons, Brendan is the only Harrigan child who isn’t involved in the family business in some form or another. While he attempts to slip into his father’s shoes, it doesn’t work out, much to Conrad’s dismay, who had been plotting for his oldest son to take over one day. Ultimately, Brendan doesn’t have the vicious instincts that his parents possess, and while not completely unintelligent, he lacks the street smarts needed to stand on his own two feet in the Harrigans’ world of crime.

This left Brendan and Conrad’s relationship rather strained. Despite trying to win his father’s approval back, Conrad wasn’t having it, a major mistake that would cost him his son’s life. In a last-ditch attempt to get back into Conrad’s good books, Brendan got involved in diamond dealings, recruited Seraphina to help with the operation, and ended up getting killed with a chainsaw at the hands of Jaime Lopez’s gang.

Kevin Harrigan

Paddy Considine’s Kevin is the youngest of Maeve and Conrad’s two sons and the father of Eddie, whom he shares with his wife, Bella. Kevin’s story in MobLand is an extremely traumatic one, and we learn that after meeting Harry Da Souza in a juvenile facility as a teenager, he was raped several times by a guard named Alan Rusby. Despite already being under the influence of his family’s criminal ways, upon his release, Kevin embraces being a gangster even more, and Maeve later puts a plan in motion for him to take over the business, not Seraphina.

A lot happens to Kevin long before MobLand Season 1. He discovers that before they met, his wife Bella (whom he has always been a loyal husband to) had been Conrad’s lover. Kevin later realized Eddie wasn’t his biological son; he was his half-brother and stepfather, which influenced his decision to try to keep Eddie away from the Harrigan crime syndicate, only for Maeve to later corrupt the boy. In the penultimate installment of Season 1, Kevin brutally murders Alan Rusby for his assault on him, and it’ll be interesting to see how he handles this in MobLand Season 2.

Bella Harrigan

Lara Pulver’s Isabella “Bella” Harrigan, much like Maeve, is a mob wife who has more power than meets the eye. Although she isn’t as directly involved with the Harrigans’ crime business as her husband, Bella is from a powerful family with a lot of political influence. Following a passionate affair with Conrad, which Maeve put a stop to, Bella fell pregnant with Eddie and was introduced to Kevin, who initially thought he was the biological father.

However, Bella’s past relationship with Conrad isn’t the only piece of juicy family drama here. MobLand Season 1 heavily implies a romantic past between Bella and Harry Da Souza, something that the Harrigans’ fixer has no interest in rekindling, despite her suggestions. It’s sometimes unclear exactly what Bella’s intentions are, but she is a fascinating character nonetheless.

Eddie Harrigan

The youngest of the brood, Anson Boon’s Eddie is Conrad’s grandson (although technically his son). After being manipulated as a young teen, Eddie became Maeve’s puppet, and his relationship with his “grandmother” is one of the closest in the show. Eddie’s relationship with his father/grandfather, however, isn’t great, as Conrad believes him to be a massive hindrance due to his drug use and overall behavior. Throughout MobLand Season 1, Eddie is seen snorting coke and erupting at the drop of a hat, even going so far as to stab people after a drug-fueled night out.

Eddie struggles to show any signs of regret, and every action he makes is laced with disdain and a lack of respect for anyone other than himself. Really, Eddie is the successor that Maeve craves for the family business, even though she is so disgusted by Conrad’s other love child, Seraphina. Now that MobLand‘s multi-season timeline has been confirmed, and we know that future installments will span “over tens of years,” perhaps we will eventually see Eddie take over from Conrad as the Harrigans’ leader.

Seraphina Harrigan

Mandeep Dhillon’s Seraphina is one of the most interesting members of the Harrigan family. Seraphina is the result of Conrad’s affair with an exotic dancer, and despite Maeve’s obvious hatred of her, she remains incredibly loyal to her father and the family business. She is more involved than her brother Brendan; Seraphina is actually one of the best in the business thanks to her money laundering skills, which Conrad frequently rewards her for.

Despite only officially joining the Harrigans in Episode 1, Seraphina finds her place in the family and is quickly given the responsibility of overseeing money laundering for the whole operation. The disgrace over Seraphina’s existence eventually leads to Maeve putting a target on her, after fearing that Conrad’s illegitimate child would take over the business, which instead results in Brendan’s death, rather than Seraphina’s.
