Julianne Moore and her daughter make a precious pair.
The Oscar winner, 65, and Liv Freundlich, 24, attended Messika’s show during Paris Fashion Week on Thursday, both decked out in the jeweler’s diamonds.
Moore teamed a butter-yellow knit maxi dress with Messika’s Midnight Sun diamond ear cuffs and Divine Enigma necklace, an 18-karat white gold collar glittering with pavé diamonds. If the piece looks familiar, Dakota Johnson wore a near twin at Sunday’s MTV VMAs.
Moore’s version featured a detachable pendant centered on a 0.80-carat oval-cut diamond surrounded by more pavé bling, bringing the total weight to 13.20 carats.
Johnson’s pendant held a larger emerald-cut stone, which House of K’dor founder Tarick K’dor told Elle Australia he estimates at four to five carats. He valued the necklace at around 350,000 Australian dollars (roughly $244,000).
Moore was named a Messika ambassador in March and fronts its Moderniste campaign. Her stylist, Kate Young, also dresses Johnson. At Thursday’s show, the Oscar winner sat front row alongside Carla Bruni, Ester Expósito, Miriam Leone, Kiko Mizuhara and Kim Yoo-jung.
Freundlich, for her part, opted for the Move Uno diamond choker necklace in yellow gold ($6,770) over a black Skims minidress ($168). She also attended the Loewe show on Friday.
The Northwestern University grad is no stranger to the fashion circuit, having joined her mom at shows since she was a tween. She sat front row at Reed Krakoff’s New York Fashion Week show in 2013 and later accompanied Moore to Ralph Lauren and Bottega Veneta.
Freundlich also modeled in a J.Crew presentation in 2017. Five years later, Moore shared the beauty lesson she passed on to her daughter.
“Don’t destroy your eyebrows like I did, and countless other women that I know,” she told Harper’s Bazaar at the time.
“Liv has appreciation for makeup and fashion,” Moore added. “She doesn’t overdo it.”
